My carry on Saturday was a ‘75 model
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]   paired with a ST 200.

Today I selected my often neglected Sowbelly, yet luv’d 3 blade option.

Forgive me, I had meant to share this experience well before today☺️

While on holiday,  the cruise ship visited Bar Habor, Maine, a port that required to tendered to port as islands protect this quaint town.

While waiting as my sister was exploring another trinket store, I waited on the sidewalk.  I gentleman walked up next to me, with a dog on a lead, to wait as well, as his partner entered the store.

After a couple moments he pulled a bag from his pocket and attempted to open, I offered to help, but he declined, I then offered to hold the dog’s lead, and he agreed.   He the pulled from his pocket a traditional knife,  he opened a sheep’s foot blade and sliced the bag open easily, and I noticed the CASE shield.  I asked him what model? It appeared to be a ‘75 model in his smaller hands.  He replied “don’t know, I have had it for years, lots of years!”

I asked if I could look at it, as the model is stamped on the blade he just used. He did, I opened the blade, it was a  6347SS.  Showed him the stamping and indicated I had a like model at home,  he shared it is always with him.   He then took the knife back and offered a treat from the bag.

It was a had a little tad of a wild taste, with an aftertaste to match.  He then share he and Mrs were from Bangor and were camping art Arcadia one last time this season.

Offered me another treat, I passed, then noticed they were dog treats🙄. As he tossed another to the dog and he popped a couple in his mouth😜

Amber bone Stockman, just like this, but with well worn scales, pocket worn from all his pocket time.

On the cruise, best I could get by with was my Vagabond, having to explain the scissors were required to free and open my medicine pill card.

This encounter was possibly my highlight of trip, at least best conversation for certain.   PS: the taste lingered a while longer, until I located a pak of Eclipse gum … 🥹

Very nice David  :hatsoff:

I know you have posted a few of your fix blades,  they appear similar yet different.

Could you please post them together by side with their  models.

The blade style is of interest to me as a solution for belt or dangler sheath carry on the homestead.  My Izulas are a tad short yet hardy, and other fix blades are bigger than I need but great  for my camp and hiking treks.

TIA, no hurry…

I have had worst, shucks the guy was eating them too!

Thinking back to my youth, I even tried the Purina dog food that I would feed the beagles every night.  Not much different than  Grape Nuts cereal we had in the cereal drawer.  😉

Ah man, I remember grape nuts!  I kid you not; they were a holiday "treat" in my house.   Something different to the usual cornflakes I guess.  :D

Apparently the breakfast cereal of choice for the successful 1953 assent of Everest (lead by my family namesake Col John Hunt.  Sadly no relation as far as I know).  This might explain my father's love for the stuff, a keen outdoorsman himself.

I did too🙄.  Mom would get so mad!  I pour it in my bowl, the box was so small, only provide two maybe 3 bowls a box.  🤪

Pack a lot of energy.  I also like Muselix when it introduced,   Along with Granola style cereals.  Good enough to keep me fueled through the morning till mid day dinner on the farm.

I have itch!

I pulled my Nay blue. One Copperlock for duty today, along with Orange Bone Copperhead with combo blade.
Via a Case social media post showing off a Trapper with Wharnie blade and the just received catalog, I see Case has reintroduced a couple faves of mine in Purple Barn board

My wallet is hiding 🙈
