Errands today, rotate in the Amber Bone Stockman (cv)

My first choice had been the ‘47 pattern, and when I decided I wanted a nice rich BLUE BONE none could be found in that cover color or even a Rich looking Green.

So I switched my sights to a ‘75 pattern which was being reintroduced by Case since late 2023.

Then Enginears mentions the need for Carbon, I followed suit and nope no ‘47s in CC or CV. But, found a few in ‘75, and this Amber Bone rang my bell.

I must admit I do prefer carbon steel, as I think it aesthetically ages better. From a purely practical perspective tru sharp would be a better option but you can’t beat the look of an old carbon steel blade.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Carrying one stainless and one stainful. I really enjoy watching the patina form on carbon. I appreciate how a stainless blade takes on scratches and gets its own type of character too, but not as much as the patina process.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
