I have a slightly embarrassing story to tell to go along with my today watch.

I decided to wear my Techno King watch..aka.the Liberace, to work today. I had a prep period first block, and the native study teacher had invited a brother and sister to talk about residential schools which both had first hand experience with. For those not in the know, in Canada, for a long time, natives were taken from their parents and sent to a boarding school to get the "Indian" out of them. Look it up if you care to know more about one of Canada's not brightest moments in history (while at it, might as well look into what is called the 60's scoop). Anyhow, I was sitting way in the back of the theater, with the guest speakers at the front on the stage. Around half way through the guys presentation, I had to scratch my nose. Doesn't he stop talking...and looks long and hard at me. I guess the Liberace outshone the stars and half blinded the poor guy or something. I took a look at my watch and the lighting was just perfect to get those stones a shining something fierce. With that realization, I quickly covered the watch with my sport-coat sleeve and I sunk a little deeper in my chair as the folks seated between both of us looked around wondering what had gotten his attention. Happily, he started for what seemed like a terribly long minute but was just probably a couple of seconds

My students love this watch more than I do I think...as they are now putting in request for me to wear the bling watch.

Now you have to buy a concert grand Steinway, loud glitzy tuxedo and gold-gilt bronze candelabra, Chako. :like:

I've gotten into these $20 Casio watches as of late, and now own about 4 of them.  I've given some away, and keep one in the vehicle just in case.  They come in a variety of dreamy color combos.

Put another bracelet on my Elgin automatic today as the old one is now too small and cannot be adjusted out.Great watch I bought at a yard sale for $2 because they said it needed a battery!
