I always have a beaten Executive in my toiletries case, but just on Sunday I decided to EDC my good Executive in my Skinth Toolet, in a place where a folder or 1-3 layers SAK may also be carried.
BTW, has really anyone ever pealed an orange with it? Ever?

You have to, if only to try it out.
Does have to be a large, proper orange, though and not a small satsuma or something. It works OK, does a great job of slicing down the sides... but you still need to peel those sides off, so you still end up with fingers all messy and stinking of orangey D-Limone, like you've just cleaned the thermal paste off a hundred CPUs!

Of course, there's never just one use for any SAK tool... ;)

I did! Didn't took any pics, but was very pleased with how it worked:

Thanks for the comments guys. Think this knife is just perfect for EDC around the home or office. Also pairs great with any of the larger MT's that do not have scissors. Peeler does a surprising job on packaging tape. For my next project I am thinking about making a Spydernox version with some Wenger tools as well. Still in the planning phase for now.

One last thing, I forgot to say earlier. A nifty reason to have a Victorinox rambler or modify your executive like this is the super snug fit you get using the Leatherman bit adapter. Works great.

I had never modded 74mm until now, decided I better give it a try while you can still find a few of them. Had to sacrifice a rally SAK for the combo tool and back spring off a donor that was part of a SAK lot I recently picked up on eBay. Phillips screwdriver this size is super useful to me for kids toys and whatnot. Happy with results so far.
I don't know how I missed this earlier, but I love it!   :hatsoff:

I've always thought that an Exec with a combo tool would be nearly perfect.

I've got a generic hex bit coupler that fits on the 58mm combo tool (and the 91mm inline Phillips) pretty well. I like the coupler and limitless hex bit options way more than the few choices on the Cybertools.
SAKs:
58mm: Bijou (3), Classic SD (7), Mini Champ Plus (mod), Alox Classic SD, Rambler (3), Companion
65mm: Wenger Esquire
74mm: Executive (2)
85mm: Traveler, Delemont S10, Bass
91mm: Champion "c", Swiss Champ (4), Explorer (3), Deluxe Tinker, Huntsman, Serrated Spartan/Weekender, Explorer Plus, Deluxe Explorer Plus (mod), Outdoorsman Plus, Champion "a", Champion Plus, Timekeeper Alarm, Golfer
93mm: Pioneer Alox

I’d carry the executive far more with this configuration, not only the philips but the all important bottle opener, excellent mod pa

That looks useful, i wish i had skills to mod SAKs too so i could make mods like these.

Haven’t caught up on this thread for while but really enjoying it. The mod with the combo tool is fantastic - gives mini champ functionality without the ugly tool!! And that collection jaydar

Kkokkolis - Love the pic of your exec snuggled up with your Parker pens …I’m of a mind to start a ‘SAKS with pens’ thread….!

I've seen this one posted somewhere recently and really makes me want to make a MidiChamp version.
I'd add the combo tool, of course, but would also add the cotton picker as well as the emergency blade.  As a paracorder, I might would add the nail file/cleaner blade which I feel is stronger than the one on the executive.

The wife and I went on a local art crawl today, and the first stop had a display case with a bunch of pocket knives. They were all reasonably priced, but the main one that caught my eye was this little fella right here:

I've cleaned it up and given the edges a light reprofiling. Other than some gunk on the main blade and scuffs on the scales, it looked like it was mostly unused. I think I did alright for $20.

Some interesting Executive discussions going on over here.

And a significant update to the Wiki OP page - including a great new photo from Antti Lammi

PS. Really like the Atlanta Executive stuntzombie

PPS. @Jaydar - That Executive collection is outrageous!

The more I use and carry the Executive (and its cousin the Ambassador) the more it pains me that these models weren't more popular. Yeah, the 74mm is a bit larger than the 58's, but not so much that it won't still fit in the fifth pocket of a pair of jeans. Yet it gives you so much more handle to grab on to than the Classic based knives. In my mind, this should be the size that's hanging from everyone's keychains.

I agree.  I really wish that Victorinox would have made a MidiChamp in the 74mm line.
