Recently received my Alox Harvester.  I posted about it earlier in the Alox thread after some garden work.  I also carried my ‘97 pre-label PSTII.  This is a great combo and very light weight.

I didn’t need it today, but would be happy to have the pliers, serrated blade, and scissors handy in addition to the Harvester toolset. There is no overlap there and would be well rounded out by a Rally or Rambler should you need it.

This will certainly be the “harvesting” carry.  I did miss the mag lens so no up close shots of this little guy hiding in the corn.

I'm disappointed in that decision too. I'm a big fan of the butter blade.
:iagree: +1

Yep a great pairing with pretty well any SE knife

Nice one G_B!   :like:

A Rambler rounds everything out well, and that's why I always carry it.  It's great to have the scissors and t&t handy regardless of whatever else I'm carrying.

Thanks, awl.  The PST and 7 pair got some carry time today with the Rally.  I didn’t get any use pics, but happy to have the PST to pull some nails from some old flooring and the 7 to cut some low hanging branches. Sure, I could’ve done that with my Spirit, but the Alox scales are just a joy to use.

I did snap a pic of my Marloboro combo this evening after using the Outdoorsman to make a fire.

Working from home today. I may get outside and take care of some rogue trees and vines trying to overtake my shed. These should come in handy.

Very quickly becoming a favorite trio.  It’s stacking up well against my Spirit X and Rally pair or my Marlboro PST and Outdoorsman pair for outdoors use.  I may post a more thorough comparison later in my own Combo Multiplier thread.

That's a great setup.  I really need to get a Pioneer Harvester.  I use a Pioneer Pruner a lot in the garden, but it would be a lot handier to carry the Harvester instead of the Farmer I frequently carry.

It’s a decent tool for sure.  I’d like to get my hands on a Pruner that would really round out the butter blade Spirit.

I do like the Alox series for outdoors, particularly the garden quickly getting covered in dirt. They clean so easy.

The mini tool, armbar, and pioneer is a great combo.  It’s 3 tools to cover a typical multitool, but more pocket friendly and I could see myself carrying that in the office.

You totally get it, GB!  That's exactly why I chose them.

With the exception of the metal file, all the tools are "full size" and, as you mentioned, very pocketable.  When the bases are covered by multiple tools, it also gives more options by using multiple tools at once, one in each hand.

The point about office carry is great too, and I try to keep tools concealed in that type of environment.

Thanks Farmer. X.  I got curious after seeing your comment and looked at the price of the long-discontinued KF4 on ebay.

ouch...    :o

But hey, tools are meant for usin'!

I've rediscovered the KF4 and have been enjoying it lately.  Here's another for 3-layer Thursday:

Thanks guys.

I  really don't know what Leatherman was thinking when they discontinued the KF4.  I guess it didn't sell well.

It's basically a mini Wave without a can opener and scissors.  Add a Rambler and all you're missing is the can opener.  Or, you could compare it to a Vic Master Craftsman really.  Again, no scissors or can opener but adds pliers and dedicated phillips.

It's a great compact camping/hiking/woods tool, and the fact that the removable bit driver works perfectly with it is a huge bonus.

I like the entire Juice line and glad to have them. The CS4 coupled with a SAK Compact and Manager is what I take travelling and has been a great help many times…particularly when the zip jammed on my suitcase as I arrived in Saigon a few years ago, there are times pliers are the only thing that’ll work
