Tactical to practical.....

Impulse buy....Blackjack AWAC with a 6" blade listed as 440A but industry insiders and collectors say Sandvik 12C27! Linen micarta handle.

Boker 155 Bird and Trout (the pattern knife for the Curtis LeMay driven USAF SAC Pilot's Survival Knife) with orig sheath. Tang shot attached....

Thanks Grathr!  That little Boker is about the size of a Mora Classic #2...a handy size. I impulse bought that Blackjack but didn't have one in my collection and wanted to see how that border patrol style grip fit my hand. With RA, some knife handles (and pistol grips) are starting to hurt my hand when I grasp them.  This BP style grip feels great and offers that finger ridge to help retention.

I really like that Blackjack AWAC. It reminds me a bit of the CS Trailmaster (although shorter blade, of course).

That 155 is a small hunter...compared to the Mora Lam Classic #2, it almost the same size.  It fits the #2's Sharpshooter sheath as well.

After many years of thinking about getting a BK11 I finall did. Wished I'd got off the fence a long time ago. I really like it. Put the micrata scales on it today. They really help and look good also.    :)

It's a Maverik, I believe it was a new launch after SHOT this year. It's just their 420hc, but I like the look, the blade shape, and the price.

Mora KJE Hunter arrived.....unsharpened, maybe worn on a belt a couple of times.

My close up camera is on the fritz, but there is amazing detail on the sheath...can see fur on the animals...even individual hairs in the wolf's tail. The sheath is signed, "K. S. 55".  I'll try for better pix later.

I really like that one brother. It fits my idea of a fixed blade knife, that is,a single brass hilt,a crows beak butt cap and overall a clean design.

Congratulations.
