So I've got moras and kabars.

Now I've got:
Mora: 511, 612, craftline pro s
Kabar: 1207, bk5(tomorrow), bk15(tomorrow), bk17, bk24
Cold steel:kobun

Can I see some pics of peoples' 7s, 9s, and 10s? I'm going to get one I fear, I'm just not sure which. The bk9 fills the biggest hole (bk5 will be my biggest), but I like the other two as well.

Man, I really love this Mora!

And I ended up getting my first CRKT today, and it's even better than I'd imagined, especially for $20!

Awesome bunch!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Thanks! And thanks for the 612 link :D it's my favorite Mora, I love love love the handle, and the finger guard is exactly what I want.

I'm on a crazy fixed blade kick, and loving it! Not a month ago I couldn't see the point in a fixed blade, as realistically you can do 99.9% of your cutting tasks with a folder. But now I see. This CRKT will be in my pocket for a while I imagine!

Yes SG. I started with the black compound and was going no where fast. I was sort of concerned until I remembered the Essential was made with M4 steel. I got some 1500 grit sand paper and used that and now have a nice edge. Need to finish it up with the green compound.     :)   I sharpened the BK11 the other day and then ran it over the strop a couple passes and it is way sharp now!    :o

I wasn't kidding either about the BK14. The scales do come as a two pack: one set of black and one set of orange.

Might as well get two if you get one of them  >:D
