Whole wood knife set:

Smallest most used. Two very old ones, from time before first mt. Currently mostly used by son, though we did get him junior knife (no pointy edge).

Some tools I used outside today to wreck some overgrown plants. The Condor machete is really amazing, it sings as it slices through green limbs, even up to an inch in diameter, without much trouble at all. It made very quick work of some young trees and bushes that were growing wild all over the yard. I can't remember if it's stainless or not... it's got some marks on it, but no rust as I keep it coated in Ballistol just in case. I used the BK-7 to strip and cut down the debris into smaller pieces for packing up into yard bags. After two hours of use, the edges on both these tools were still good.

A few scrubby trees were too stubborn and needed to be sawed out with the Opinel. This is an awesome folding saw, better than the Bahco for green wood IMO because it's thinner and not coated (the blade is stainless, the marks on mine are dried sap I need to clean off). It can really slice through living stuff in no time. This is the No. 12 which is like a 5 inch blade. I'd really like to get the No. 18 (having a 7 inch blade) but it's pricey.

The axe I didn't use for anything too impressive, just chopping away at a stump that had a lot of new tree growing out of it. I'm not much of an axe user, but after a few glancing blows I began to understand why they say longer axes are safer than shorter ones. This one is short enough and heavy enough to do some real damage if you mess up. I was making double sure the arc of my swing did not come towards my shins. I don't know why, but both this and my Fiskars hatchet seem to have fairly soft steel on the edge; it doesn't take much work before they start to roll. I've had to correct a few small rolls pretty much every time I use my hatchet, this axe today was no different. Forgot to take before/after pictures of my work here or else I would've applied for the axe badge... I'll have to wait until I have something bigger and more interesting to chop down.
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.

This is a skinning knife made by David Boye using his unique method of casting the knife and then plunging it into liquid nitrogen at -300 degrees.

David wrote a book about making knives titled "Step-by-Step Knifemaking: You Can Do It!" This book details the conventional method of making knives.

David also created a Boat knife that is made from a mixture of cobalt, chrome, nickel, tungsten, silicon, iron, and carbon.Notice that this knife contains no steel and even though it contains iron it is completely rust resistant.

Thanks!  I pocket carry it.  Its factory belt sheath is slim enough to slip in a front pocket.  But I will often carry it in my KSF Adirondack in my backnpocket.

Here's the KSF sheath with an Izula.  It works with several of my small fixed blades and will hold other goodies as well.  I highly recommend them.

Well two of them are fixed. The OKC RTAK II and the Falkniven S1  Pro (which is far to pretty to use, I'll get over it). The Lion Steel SR1  is just amazing
