Thanks everyone !   Started out my Birthday in an unconventional way   :D

My first present of the day was a colonoscopy   :o    Just got back from the hospital and everything went smoothly. They found and removed one small polyp. but everything else looked good.

All you guys that have turned fifty or so should get one done.  I put it off for a whole year and shouldn't have. It really was a easy and painless,  even the prep wasn't bad.

Better safe than sorry cause colon cancer ain't no joke   :salute:

Glad to hear you got the all clear Steve!  That's the best birthday gift of all!

At over 90% curable if found in time, it is kind of a silly way to go.  Absolutely everyone over 45 should be getting this checked, especially considering that something like 98% of men will experience prostate problems in their lives.  The estimate should be higher, but is skewed because many men simply don't live long enough to experience the problems that they are very likely to end up having.

The next thing on the agenda health wise is I'm going for a full body skin check. I'm a fair skinned freckled Scotsman that had more a few bad sunburns when I was young. Got a couple of spots that I want to get checked out . This is also one that we should all have done at a certain age. Skin cancer is another one when caught early is very curable.
