Day 29 - Whew! Only one more day.

Tested the PE knife blade with supper prep.  Had leftover skirt-steak, sliced thin and cross grain so it can be added to some stir fry when wife arrives from work.

Good pics and uses today, guys! :like:

Day 28:

Had the Surge with me to service the lawn mower. There wasn't much the Surge could do, except open the box and plastic covers. I did use the large flat head to push the air filer tabs in to swap filters, but forgot to take that pic. :ahhh

Can't believe the mower ran so well with the plug, filter, and blade so bad.  :o

Hello Day 29
A bit old school today. Not sure where my pencil sharpener is so it was back to the old school ways with the Surge.

More great pics  and uses everyone  :like:

Helped my dad hook up his tiller attachment on his tractor when we got home from work and used the pliers of the SURGE to pull pins and it worked great for that :like:

:like:  Geez, I've lost count at how many times I've done that either with MT pliers or an SAK hook. In fact, that was one of the uses that got me into pliers based tools. Coincidentally, my first a cheap Apex by Imperial actually came out of the tractor tool box. The Phillips sucked, Granddad had gotten the serrated blade in electricity, and bent the smallest screwdriver.  I went through a ton of POSs, and finally got a PST II when I joined here going on 5 years ago.

Day 26. Used the pliers for two jobs: yanking the lid off the can of Beanie Weenies when it stuck with the pull tab; and then attempting to yank out a nail in a tight space. Ended up getting the claw hammer.

I also used the fine screwdriver, which is one tool I wish they hadn't ditched on newer versions. I am glad the cheapest Surge I found (and locally too I might add; for $50)  still has it.  I did something stupid; I used the Sawzall without safety glasses and got a piece of metal in my eye. I threw my glasses down in a panic, and a lens popped out again (these glasses are long overdue for replacement). Had to unscrew the frame, pop the lens back on then put it together with the flat head end.

I'm also debating cutting a corner off my OSHA card wtih the scissors. It's what they did in Scouts with our Totin' Chip when someone goofed up with a knife. But then again, I need that OSHA card for employment when I start looking for a job this summer.  My Totin' Chip is just a relic of Scouts.  But I am having to drop quite a bit (those I'm looking at are $30-50)  on some decent goggles for using with powered grinding/cutting tools.  Given my income, that's punishment enough.

Thanks, MickeS!

Not a bad idea. Still not sure how the mower was still getting air?
