Matt - the scenery in your pictures is amazing.  It can almost cause you to miss the knife or MT.

Thanks Ray, very kind  :hatsoff:

... sooo, everyone believes that I've actually sawed that branch with the Trappers Wharncliffe blade?  :D  I've left a hint  :pok:

Still, if you zoom in you can see the rough grind on the blade a bit.

Yes I saw...nice!

Day 2
Having a slow fuzzy day with a coffee and a book.

I'm following up on Dan Browns "Robert Langdon" stories, currently reading book 5 of the series titled "Origin".

No use yet for the Mini Trapper. Although, it gets fondled frequently  ;) The smooth finish and warm bone stag scales are nice to handle with.

Fuzzcase Day 2

Let's just say that today was a tad physical, so Taxas Jack didn't get much use today, mainly because I didn't want it to get broken or wrecked... It was that kind of day. He did however keep me company nestled in my coin pocket... (snigger)...

Anyway, here's another iconic book on the subject of the Pacific Theatre.

Oh...ah... and here I was wondering why you've bought a Helmet for your pillow.  :D

You've positioned your case rather nicely. Blends well into the cover  :tu:

Why, thank you!  :salute:

It's looking great at the moment, it's building up a lovely uniform patina on the main blade... Which... has also alerted me to the fact that it has an SS backspring... I did not know that.

That makes me wonder... did manufacturers change to stainless steel springs when it became common for blades? Was it CV before always?
It must be a bit of a different steel, right?
Or is it just about the heat treatment?

Btw, wouldn't mind a pic of that lovely patina  :tu:

Different steel. I read somewhere that some cutlery companies started to do it to reduce corrosion due to neglect (especially if their knives had a decent warranty). I didn't realise Case did that too though.

Nice photos, Fuzzy. This challenge is off to a lovely, if somewhat martial, start.   :tu:

I saw it when it first came out and it was excellent... I mean like smurfing excellent, although extremely brutal, much more so than Band of Brothers.  :o It's an absolute must see though, but I'd have a stiff drink ready.  :drink:

**Spoiler alert**

I remembered seeing that on HBO, and it was gruesome; at least some of the characters in Band of Brothers still get to go home, the feeling I got from Pacific was just total annihilation.

**Spoiler, Spoiler alert**

I remember about halfway into the series, that episode where they attempt to take Peleliu Airfield, that was truly shocking.... and of course near the end on Okinawa.

Day 3
Today is Sodbuster Jr day  :woohoo:

... it helped breaking down a box... that's it  :dunno:

I love this knife. Slim, solid, sharp, reliable  :tu:
Those seed jig patterned bone scales not only look good. They also provide a very nice grip.
No slippery  :tu:

Probably one of the reasons I still have all 10 digits  :pok:
