I know my bias is already showing; but to me yellow Delrin on a Case is very nearly as synonymous as red scales on a SAK. :D

You'll get no argument from me that yellow Delrin is classic and classy!

Today the harvest orange Peanut rotated out, and an old red Peanut rotated in.

When I began really looking at traditional knives Case was a brand I looked at.  There are others but Case stood out with the long history of the brand.  I am a fan and have become a bigger fan over my short time buying traditional knives.  What I can say is there is a lot of knife for the money and a lot of cover options to keep any collector happy.

Here are my Case knives.

Awesome collection  :) Mine is quite more modest as I kind of like and want most of the Leathermans, Bucks, Spydercos and Victorinoxes out there  :D
Here they are

On my "soon to get" list are : round bolster stockman , the big trapper and a sodbuster or two.

I'm a fan of the Sod Buster Jr. Pretty much a straight-up working knife, though they look good decked out in bone, too. And a black or yellow Delrin Soddie will only cost one about $30 US!

Nice collections from DavisNikolov and Aloha!

I've got big and small sodbusters from Imperial and I like them both, one is great for carrying around the watch pocket and the other is a bit more potent for work (mainly cooking with me). That's why I'll probably get both sizes from Case too  :)

That's probably the best looking example of Amber bone I've seen.  Generally it doesn't appeal to me, but that's one good looking knife.

Thats what I'm afraid of  :gimme:.   At some point I will pick up something.  There are so many patterns and thankfully I cannot figure out which I like best.  Unlike SAKs traditionals aren't a rabbit hole I want to go down.

YET HERE I AM.  I am enamored by traditional knives.  I recently became a big fan of Case knives.  I'm not 100% certain which I got first but I'm fairly sure ( not pictured ) it was a steak type knife.  I believe I then got the large Sod Buster.  I then received the Yellow Delrin Sod Buster.  From there I don't know?  I recently picked up several from FX which kicked my interest even further.

The more I learn the more enjoy.  Its like that with me with most everything.  I enjoy the item but I really enjoy the learning.    I've read my share of Case stories from the very good to the very bad and everything in between.  You're always gonna get a side that harkens for the "good ole days" of Case.  I understand that very much.  Then you'll get the side that says Case is catering to the collectors.  I also understand that side as well.

I am still learning a lot about Case knives.  I can't go back and I never bought Case knives till recently so I wont concern myself with the good ole days.  I also wont be inheriting any "good ole Case knives" from the era some say were the best.  Unless someone wants to send me come........

What I can say is much of whats been said, written, and experienced by those far more knowledgeable than me is true.  The good, not so good, and everything in between.

I am happy with my Case knives.  I will be getting more thats for sure.

I quoted myself because I had no clue I'd be headed down the rabbit hole, yet here I am.

I'm fine with Case "catering to the collectors" if that is what they are doing.  Personally I think they just might be giving lots of options to the buyers.  Either way I'm happy that they come in at various price points.

:iagree:  People will collect what they want and if a company caters to them why should it matter to me?  I think it adds to the fun of collecting for many.
