Nix, it was brought to my attention that you drafted me (on dubious authority). I am afraid I didn't get the letter nor my service weapon, so please call off the MP if you may.

Funny, I just checked my stock and consulted Sakwiki; looks as if by now I have amassed all current 91mm SAKs but four  Guess which ones are missing...

Have a great challenge, everybody! I will be watching from the sidelines.

Cheers

Simon

Day 1.

Since my actual Fieldmaster still needs a little work (and I'm still figuring out the Turnbox with some cheapos), I'm toting the 84mm version from the 1960s.

Cody!  Good to see you here with the 84mm, just after the Ranger challenge.

Yes. A little hard to tell because I was carrying and used my grandfather's phone. While mine itself is pretty bad, this phone is a little worse.

My favorite SAK blade! I find the fact that the clip has a lot of belly makes it great for a lot more tasks, as well as ink erasing (which it was originally made for). Unfortunately, finding an SAK in which this blade has not been wrecked, or well, the balance of the SAK, and at a sub $20 each price is a bit hard. I only have three--1950s Ranger, early '70s Standard, and then this Artisan.  Ranger came as the only good knife in a lot of 5 for ten bucks. Standard, about $12 on its own. Artisan, came with a Victorinox Recruit, a Wenger Master, and two quite nice leather sheaths for $35. The leather sheaths fit 91mm and 100mm knives, not the ones they came with.

I only have one clip blade. Will post a photo of it later as I’m in Tampa right now.

Here's a 60's 84mm Artisan (aka Fieldmaster Small) I managed to add to the collection this week and my yellow Gadsden Fieldmaster.   Tomorrow, my red one I bought in the local hardware store last year begins the challenge!

Fixed that for you.  ;)

Couldn’t leave it alone considering your namesake.  :D
