But Check out the tool orientation, can't find it on the SOG web site and multitool.org's tools. Is this an older model it looks like the BO singapore military issue powerlock but the tool orientation is not the same.

I don't know a fat lot about SOGs tbh Donald - I do remember talkon here about the Singapore model. I'm pretty sure that all that differs is the tool selection, but it's definitely the old style Powerlock chassis.

but it looks well built, examine the bolts it looks like its not been touched so I doubt if this had been modified. And isn't it unusual it doesn't have a patent number, only the word patent under the SOG PowerLock logo

Actually its a std Spirit with a butterknife blade , its just the light making it look like a plain edge
