The Skeverman! A leatherworking Skeletool

Introducing the
Skeverman
! I know, it's spelled Skiver, but it's a Skele!
Made from a recently acquired Coyote Tan/Black Skeletool, the Skeverman is something I've been wanting to make over a decade. Every since someone suggested making something like it. I ground a flat bit into an edge beveler, a hex bit into an awl, designed a 3d printed steel scalpel holder, and made a cocobolo wood slicker insert for the carabiner area.
Cutting via a very sharp and replaceable No. 3 size scalpel.
Awl doing awl things.
Bevelling the edge with the custom ground and sharpened bit.
Wetting the edge for slicking.
Doesn't take much to slick down the edge with the wood insert. The wood slicker insert has a tapered gully channel from round to flat for different thicknesses of leather.
SO SHINY!

Even if I don't know the smallest thing about leatherworking, this looks like it'll do the job
Cheers!

Great work, yet again.
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Hat does the SKEV refer to?
SKIV or to skiv is to thin out leather at the edges or splitting leather into thinner sections so when they are stacked or folded over, there is less bulk. I mean, to name it 'properly' it should be Skiverman, however Skeverman is...better

As someone who does some messing about with leather, that is ridiculously nice!

Thanks Metro! It is an awesome creation, as always! Combining 2 hobbies into 1 , priceless!!
How about a wood carving MT?? Pocket knife “Whittlers” really don’t deliver on their name... just to throw it out there

Another leather worker here offering my compliments. So neat to see all these tools combined, and the customization is very cool!
I'd love to see the first project you complete using the Skeverman.
