Just ordered my LE 2020 Aqua blue pioneer from Vic - they're on the website in UK - therefore Europe too I assume. Order now if you want to bet the e-mail announcement and rush. :hatsoff:

The rational part of my mind told me there was no rush at all to buy this.  My local shop will have a truckload of these when they re-open in a couple of weeks.

But the irrational part won, and I ordered one before finishing my first cup of coffee.

Very true! Mind you, when will the shops reopen?! I tend to order mine by post as the Victorinox shop in London is a pricey round trip, especially when tempted by other things in stock! :rofl:

It's somewhat ironic that the 2020 LE is close in coloration to the "blue cross blue shield" color. Yes I want my covid SAK. I mean no joke in that reference, it will truly be a SAK and time to remember.

Ok, I couldn't resist it.  :facepalm:

I've ordered a Pioneer in the LE 2020 Aqua Blue on-line, from the Vic' (UK) website (£47) along with a neckstrap (£2) and a red lanyard (£1) That way I qualified for free delivery by spending £50 (saving a whole £1.95  :woohoo:)

Now I just have to wait and see how long it takes to arrive  :dunno: (I have particular issues getting items delivered to my address)

I just wish they'd do a Pioneer X and Farmer (X) as standard! Come on Vic'  :pok:  :rant:

I tried to capture the relationship between the 2020 Edition (right) and the current “standard” blue Alox. I wasn’t entirely successful, but this is as close as I could get. My ability to describe colors is limited, but I might call this color “turquoise.”

I only have the standard Alox Pioneer X, Farmer, Cadet & Mini Champ so, this will be my first LE/Coloured Alox. I did consider buying the set of 3 but I like to use my knives and, to be honest, I have found the smaller Cadet & Mini Champ just too small, although the Cadet was carried, but not used, with a suit due to its slimmer frame (the SAK that is, not mine)  :whistle:

If anyone is interested I'll take some shots when it arrives but I'm not sure if any pics I take will be a patch on those already freely available  :dunno:

It arrived at about 8:45am via DHL which, considering the current situation, is not bad but, given that it came from Germany is, quite frankly, fantastic.
3 days turnaround, from abroad, colour me impressed. I wait longer for a 1st class letter from the UK  :dunno:

I ordered Thursday from Messerundco. There were a couple of other bits and pieces I needed (aren't there always?) that the Victorinox store didn’t have and the price wasn’t much different. Colour me excited...

Mine came yesterday via DHL, so not a bad delivery time in the circs - here it is with the rest of its siblings. I also agree with Frailer on the colour, turquoise or peacock blue.
