Well the kids home,
I asked him if your going to park on the street, park it in a specific direction so that the wind doesn’t blow at the engine, but then he said he was going to park in the garage..
   Now that’s going to be a little tricky cause the driveways icy, and it’s up hill, I also asked him if he wanted pancakes, that I was going to make some, he said I’ll be home in 5min Fire them up,
    But he also asked me to go outside to salt the driveway so his car might make it up into the garage, so I’m like, which do you want me to do? :dunno:
He says “can you go throw ice down and open it”! :facepalm: lol

Oh I’m done! Everything’s salted and taken care of, the trash has to go out for Thursday morning, which means I have to run out Wednesday night cause I’m not getting up early, but that’s a 45sec job, other then that I’m staying in!

So We have a couple of houses we rent out in Colorado on the Western Slope that tie every year with International Falls for the coldest temps in the country!

I just got off the phone with someone there as we had pipes break in one house after 2 weeks of -20 or worse every night.

Kind if helps keep me grateful aside from paying for the repairs of course

I read somewhere that instead of trying to keep the ice off of your side walk all winter with salt you can spread mulch over your sidewalk and the mulch will freeze into the ice but will stick out above the ice giving a non-slip surface. and after winter you can sweep it into the grass and the mulch, unlike salt, wont kill the grass.

It would make it hard to clear subsequent snow  falls that would eventually get packed down over the mulch. Might work down south but not up here.
