111mm Day 20:

Yesterday I used this dangler-lanyard to carry the Hercules

Well....when it worked, it was great. However, the Hercules unclipped itself several times. Not so great. And I'm not quite sure if the keychain ring slipped through the snap, or if the snap got opened up in the pocket, allowing the knife to fall out of the snap.

So, today I'm trying this set up:

Small clip on a slightly shorter lanyard. I'll see how this goes. Otherwise....I have another idea......

Day 21, mail call. Used the Fireman today. Hadn't carried it once during the challenge yet. For outdoors and most EDC, the Outrider replaced it. For its belt cutter, that was the Dual Pro X.   I bought it new just four years ago as old stock from a local knife store who still had it on the shelves. Packaging was dated 2007.  The blunt tip belt cutter helped to get things open without accidentally breaking something. Some of these pieces are old plastic, which breaks easily.

Thx!

The minichamp is an ideal companion if you work in an office. Small, beautiful, perfect. Has all the essentials (blade, scissors, cap lifter).

Day 14

Hope everyone is having a great day. Been very quiet and hot here. Didn't use the beauty today but praised its laurels to another knife friend.

Will update with some glamour shots soon and a full review

Ps. Due to this challenge with a bigger Victorinox i am tempted to acquire a 130mm ranger grip for the Delemont challenge later in the year. Any opinions on the 130 mm range? Or even the alox Hunter

I am adoring the outrider. One of my new favourites alongside the; pioneer x, S111, compact, bantam alox and the Climber. I really just like this knife.

Excellent to hear you’re planning for the Delemont challenge Bobbi :salute: :like:

I’ve a Ranger Wood 55 and it’s a beast, if you’re liking your 111’s I’m sure you’ll also really like a 130

All the others you mention would be right up there as some of my favourites
too

I agree too  :iagree: recently got an alox minichamp and it sits on my key ring nicely, though the bottle opener takes a bit of a knack to use, it does the job!
