Day 20

(Image removed from quote.)
Took the Giant and the little guy out for a sunset outing, need to be a little patient to wait until no one is around and pull this behemoth of tool out for the photo op. :D

This is a beautiful picture in every way  :like: :like: :salute: :hatsoff:

The Giant has so many features, but corn-on-the-cob holder is not one of them.

Possibly stabbing hard enough could make anything on the Giant a corn on the cob holder   great pic!

Day 20

Another uneventful day in lockdown, so here's to you, fellow knights. Such a shame, I am afraid this challenge will end without my XLT ever seeing any real outdoor action :-[

  Love those yellow scales!

Wish there was a LOVE sign to post.  :like: :hatsoff: :tu: :salute:  :dd:

Outstanding!
Great picture, Comics. I can imagine why you didn't want to get it out of your pocket while other people were around. I just wonder how you lugged that beast onto a mountaintop. And what pants you wore (please feel free to post a picture with the Giant in the pocket)
This is a beautiful picture in every way  :like: :like: :salute: :hatsoff:
:hatsoff:  Thank you folks!

I am a big fan of Knipex with SAK.  I do think I prefer the 125 size, but I'm certain the smaller ones would do just as well.  I like the comfort grip on the 125.
I can totally see that, with the press button and more ergonomic handle.  I haven't really use either of them enough to see which one I do like better, but it'd be cool to carry them in an organizer together with a SAK.

The Giant has so many features, but corn-on-the-cob holder is not one of them.

I always think this backside tool looks too funny to be an awl, maybe this is meant to be a corn cob holder?  :pok: :D

I'm disappointed you had to do it yourself. From the reviews I read on the internet, I was under the impression the Giant would do all this for you while you could enjoy a cup of coffee or read a magazine. Imho it's grossly overpriced if it cannot even deliver such basic services to its master.
Hmmm....let me think where you read that review from...Amazon?

Have a read for all the reviews, it has become an outlet for all the creative writings. :D

Did you have to have help backing it into the repair shop?  :pok:

Day 21

Used the XLT's pliers to retrieve a screw during a toilet repair job.

Interestingly, during that same job and also later today during another tinkering operation I used the fishscaler as a blunt thin prodding device. Not the XLT's, mind you, but rather the Angler's: I needed a shallow angle to get where I needed to go, for which the XLT's thick body wasn't ideal. Also, with a slim and light SAK such as the Angler, you can hold the knife's body with just two fingers at it's very end (with the lanyard working as a safety line), thus getting some extra reach.

I probably shouldn't say this while this challenge is still going on, but I am really looking forward to trying out the Angler as of April...

Great use, Comis. You are really going the whole nine yards! Many thanks for showing us all these cool pictures of the Giant at work. It's quite a sight to behold  :tu:

Thanks, SDD! The yellow scales have really grown on me during this challenge. On the XLT, they remind me of the famous "Don't panic" sticker on the cover of the Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy  :D

Don't panic! You have a Victorinox Swisschamp XLT. There's nothing to worry, you are better equipped than MacGyver.

Hi guys, this is just to let you know I am a bloody amateur who doesn't get his SAK names right. Whenever I mentioned the Angler in this thread, I actually meant to say the Fisherman...
