Did you have to have help backing it into the repair shop?  :pok:

Day 21

(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Giant attended snack duty today...it's a pretty awkwardly fun experience, instead of it help serving the cheese and cracker, I felt like I am serving the Giant cheese and cracker. :D

DAY 21

Comparing the toothpicks on the XLT and Tool Chest Plus

Day 21

Used the XLT's pliers to retrieve a screw during a toilet repair job.

Interestingly, during that same job and also later today during another tinkering operation I used the fishscaler as a blunt thin prodding device. Not the XLT's, mind you, but rather the Angler's: I needed a shallow angle to get where I needed to go, for which the XLT's thick body wasn't ideal. Also, with a slim and light SAK such as the Angler, you can hold the knife's body with just two fingers at it's very end (with the lanyard working as a safety line), thus getting some extra reach.

I probably shouldn't say this while this challenge is still going on, but I am really looking forward to trying out the Angler as of April...

Great pictures!

So you use the toothpick as a toothpick? I always wonder when I hear someone is doing this: do you prepare the toothpick somehow before use?

Great use, Comis. You are really going the whole nine yards! Many thanks for showing us all these cool pictures of the Giant at work. It's quite a sight to behold  :tu:
Thanks for the compliment!  Least I tried my best, and if I fail to make it work, it's not due to lack of effort.

Day 21

Which one opened that bottle..?
Which one does the work better?

Day 21
The day got away from me today with chores and then a long telephone call with my Aunt.
A picture of the Giant with some Puffins will have to do.

It's one of my bigger regrets not to be able to see any puffin last time I visit Iceland, I'd really love to go and visit again someday when this episode of pandemic is finally over.

DAY 22

Used the pen on the XLT to do some cyphering.
Nice use!

Day 22

Tried to open a coffee packet midday, and drew my first blood of this challenge. :D   But to be honest it's mostly user error, I readjusted my grip couple of times and the fingers are awfully close to the cutting blade when I do that...didn't notice the cut until I am finish...which only means the blade is super sharp. :o

It had to happen eventually; the Giant is just too dangerous a toy. Nevertheless, thanks for your sacrifice from a grateful nation :salute:

Took my time and closed many of the tools.  I started worrying that having them open (the way it came to me), might be putting stress on the springs.  :dunno:

About 5 minutes or so.  I wanted to be careful to not let any blade cut me as they are very sharp as comis now knows..

In a quick pinch it works great, I just put a brand new one in from the replacement kit I had that’s why I opted to use it, normally if it’s been in the tool for quite some time I will use something else

I hear you. Given the amount of gunk under a hollow 91 mm scale, SAK toothpicks will only travel to the inside of my mouth in a real pinch.

Day 20

(Image removed from quote.)

Used the nail clipper on the Giant for trimming, have to be a little creative how to hold the tool so I could actually use the tool.  I often read about people using their scissors to trim their nails, but maybe my nails are more resilient than usual--every time I tried using the scissors for trimming(unless it's really really long), I felt like I am abusing the tool and could almost feel the scissors separating at the pivot.

I see you used the Giant's built-in camera for those. :D
