Thanks McStitchy and Rizio. After I experienced this out on the road a couple of times (there’s nothing like watching a speeding valve core for getting your undivided attention as it heads for the verge!) I’ve nipped them tight with small pliers and the SwissChamp pliers worked fine for this yesterday. I have also used Loctite. But this is the Go BIG challenge isn’t it  :pok:

Always great to see a revolver and speedloaders!  :tu:

For Day 8, used the saw to cut up some kindling for a fire.

Yup. 929 PC for IPSC.
Switched over from GP100 for this season.
I think I'm now driving it as fast than the ol' Ruger and having 8 rounds really helps with stage results. Split times are about the same. Reloads ditto, but more consistent (8 short niners are easier to reload in hurry while moving than 6 long .357s) and it shoots streighter (due better trigger and longer barrel probably).

:tu: awesome, sounds like fun. No IPSC or even idpa within 2 hours of me. Looks like a great setup. Those PC models seem to have great triggers. I only have one, a 629pc with 1-5/8" barrel. Not quite the same, but it's good going to town carry. Only competition around here for handgun guys is bowling pin shoots.

Safety briefing with the entire crew this afternoon.
 :D
Headed out to check bear bait spots now that the rain has stopped. Don't forget the more other stuff you carry, the less you'll notice the weight of the swisschamp!

Oooh, a rare chisel use!  Very nice.

The chisel seems like a tool that should get a good bit of use.  I just don't use it as much as I'd expect.   :tu:

Nice. You can never go wrong with a N-frame! And 44 mag makes it even better.

Yes that is a model 29 in 44 mag. Looks like we cast the same bullets as well 429421? I like mine with 2400 or better yet unique. FYI the fish scaler makes a great emergency extractor.
