Leatherman Curl clip side

I found a picture of the backside of the Curl in a laser etching website and it is identical to the back side of the Bond where the clip connects. It has the big round pivot screws on the pliers end. They will probably have to take it down like the other sites who leaked early.

Reminds me of some of the creations with wave and rebar handles except they made the front side of both handles look like the wave on one end and bond on the other.

They have the Bond listed for $62 after engraving and the Curl for $92 after engraving  :facepalm: I hope that the Curl isn't more expensive than a Rebar :oops: I also got a few screen shots and will put them in here :salute:

Interesting...basically a non-locking Wave without SE blade or saw, and a bolt-on pocket clip; sounds like a good "urban-edc" MT to me!!! :like:

Also noticed that on already-production models for "bulk buying" they have the same price as LTG's web page; could it be that the Curl will be $79.95!?!?! :tu:

The toolset is awesome but I just hope that isn't the going price :facepalm: I know they don't want it to be a lot cheaper than a Wave Plus but I would be much happier.if the starting price was $69.95 vs the $79.95 :-\

the lack of locks on the internal tools...at that price...still makes no sense to me...having drivers without locks..its just dumb.

It's really not a problem, the retention in place would likely be enough but if safety is really a concern than just use it folded. If the drivers collapse then they'll just hit the other handle, though to be honest I've never had a tool collapse in use.

Not on a SAK, not on keychain sized Leatherman, I can see the fear of it happening I just don't think it's a large enough concern to condemn the tool as long as it is used properly.

It's kind of like a locking knife blade, it's a nicety and sure there's some safety there... but the UK MTO'ers still have enough fingers left to type on here  :dunno:

Edit: And I don't really see why price is a concern on that matter either, the wave lock is basically a plate that pivots against a spring. It's much harder to get appropriate slipjoint tension than it is to get a lock like that in working order, from a production standpoint locks don't seem much more (if at all) expensive.

Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Only for the 14th year Anniversary Challenge. Post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month.
