Nice pictures Zephon and Poncho (although I like both, I prefer the Yin one; dark outside but shiny inside) :tu:

Carrying a knife and MT is hardcore enough in my book. But it seems I have transitioned to another level. My carry today

Nice pictures and uses today, people, liking them! :tu:

Thanks, Rich! :hatsoff:

Good combo there, Davis: a pair of pliers for bolt and nut; pliers and drivers for screws and nuts, a sturdier PE blade for heavier duty cutting, and a bit holder for any needs from a specialty driver. All in an easy to carry format, and looks classy to boot!  :2tu:

Merry Christmas to all you Rebarers, I carry a Rebar as part of my normal go to organiser and it came out today. I discovered that my mother's oven was not only not mounted to the counter, but the handle was loosely swinging from the only side it was attached to. They had tried and failed to fix both issues, but the Rebar's 3D Phillips did not, quickly found the recessed screw that had come undone for the handle and tightened the still attached side, then shunted it over a bit and drove a woodscrew into a more solid bit of counter to secure it:

I would but I don't want to take my BO Kick apart for the pivot and it's clip  :D

Depends on my mood but mostly I do prefer the BO handled one more :salute:

Day 28

December 28

OMG it’s almost 30 days since we started this challenge!

I want to talk about scissors.  This is what started my Rebar adventure in the first place - the mod to attach scissors to it.  Today I used the scissors to snip off those nylon tags on new shirts (gifts during Christmas).  I was thinking “there’s got to be more use for Rebar scissors than just cutting tags”.  In more than one occasion I found myself needing bigger or more cable scissors. It’s like if the job needed a Rebar then hope you have Rebar-sized scissors as well.  Before I attached the pocket clip, I was very close to exchanging the scissors for a Wingman package opener.

I haven’t carried the Wingman for a long time already so I still can’t totally comment on the scissors.  For the Rebar, cutting something above the weight class of the scissors forces it to “miss-fire” ie overlap with its spring.  I can cut paper, cardboard, but think twice about thicker zip ties.

Not sure if it’s a pivot issue where I found a sweet spot when I tightened the pivot of the tools — I have the right amount of clumping but not so tight as to bust fingernails when accessing implements.

Anyway, as an all-in-one go-to tool, yes, the Rebar will still need those scissors for small, precise cuts.  It’s about the same reason on why there’s an eyeglass screwdriver in a Wave, I guess.  It’s for small, precise jobs.

Hello for day 29.
Nearly done.
Today was box opening time for blow up beds . The joys of camping when the woman
folk beds go flat in the night. It can turn a man to the bottle. :D

I have very much the same experience with the Leatherman scissors in this design  I usually use SAK scissors for this reason and as you said they will only cut certain things :salute: I have become accustom to this and usually try not to cut anything that I think will cause them to mis-fire  :D

The Rebar is pretty solid to me with all of its normal tools though and I can comfortably use the rest of the tools on it without much if any worry :woohoo:

Day 28 - more snow! But that makes the night brighter and the temperature to rise. We have been having around -11 degrees Celsius for a couple of days but not it's around 0

I do realize the potential such combo has but it's a bit overkill for my current lifestyle - all day in the workshop, with an occasional walk around the city with the wife and kid. I often don't need even one of them  :D So today I decided to accompany the Rebar with something else

                                                                 Day 28

Today the Rebar rode on the belt. In pocket I took a congress pattern Rough Rider. Great little knife, I like it a lot.
