A little warmup from me too - happy Easter guys Personally I don’t drink alcohol at all, but used a Spirit corkscrew for the first time ever in my life yesterday to open a bottle of Chianti form my family. Package opener works cool as a cork cover remover
(Image removed from quote.)

The corkscrew is usable, but way more comfortable on a Work Champ. Yet to try on a Swiss Champ someday, but will let you know for sure
(Image removed from quote.)
It looks like it did the job which is good.

Almost there!  This is my RS, which comes with the bit kit.  I'll be using this for the 30 day challenge.  I've carried this as my work multi tool for ages.
Very nice.

I keep saying I’m going to carry the Spirit MX, but the MXBS found its way into my pocket in preparation for May.

Nice looking SwissTool RS Barry. I think that's the way I'll go for this challenge. I'll be honest a SwissTool is over cooking my EDC requirements by quite an order of magnitude given I mostly drive a desk. But it's time to get re-acquainted.

But here's a question. I happen to have two RS. One is an older, company branded, model I picked up on the Forum and the other a normal production version. Am I allowed to swap out between them?

Is it too late for me to join ? I’ve got two Swisstools , an early one and a recent one , can I use both for the challenge ?

That's no problem Phil.  It's the same tool as far as the Swisstool badge is concerned.  They look great!

We'd love to have you Dunc!  Welcome aboard!  No issues with using them both.  The only issue, badge wise, would be swapping between the Swisstool and the Spirit, unfortunately.

I'm using two as well Dunc. Both the MXBS variety; SwissTool for work* and Spirit for home  :tu:

Maybe Barry there should be a Badge for "The Lessons I've learnt about temptation here..." . I'd reckon you'd qualify :pok:

Day 01/30. Opened a packet of tablets, which isn't especially interesting, with the Belt cutter (as it's the SwissTool RS I don't think it's a "gutting blade" in this instance obviously...) so here's something a bit more artistic. A good bit of leather.

I'll play too :) Choosing between the Spirit and the Swiss tool was a tough one. I have both in the X configuration so pretty much the same tools. Finally decided on the big brother because I carry it less and with it's size and weight will be more of a challenge. Also a help in the decision was that I saw less people have that badge  So let me add myself to the list, first post will be tonight.

Day 1/31

Easy day into the challenge for the Spirit. Lunch duties and a trip on the train. I do like the blade and the fact that it is lefty friendly. It is wickedly sharp and keeps the edge for a decent time.

Good luck gents.

Pete

Welcome aboard Davis and Happy Labor Day everyone!  Kicking it off for me on Day 1 is some simple parcel opening.  We had a general cleaning and lube getting ready!

Nice start, gents

Day 1

Spirit in the mountains of Northern Italy

No uses on the trail. The dogs didn't get anything prickly or thorny stuck in their paws for once  :tu:

Got some use out of the scissors once we were home: Opening a bag of new dog treats.

After they devoured their snacks they are laying next to my desk taking a well deserved nap  :D

Awesome start!

Day 1 (and the day is still early) and I have already put my SwissTool to use.

The first pic is my SwissTool and accessories I will be using during the challenge. I added some other hex bits I use regularly to my kit so I have what I need with the ratchet. I also swapped the leather case for the nylon one, but honestly I do not use the sheath on my belt often and just use this to keep everything organized and in one place. First task was opening a package with the scissors.

I know the price would be prohibitive, but can you imagine a Titanium Swisstool or Spirit?  :ahhh  A pocket tool box that would hardly weigh anything at all!
