May I join!?!? " The (fountain) pen is mightier than the sword (multi tool plain/serrated knife)".
I've been a fountain pen user for almost 20 consecutive years ( not counting my highschool years!!!) and although I already have a pen challenge badge, I'd be pleased to go along again!  :like:

A PSA- if you'd like to try out  fountain penmanship on the cheap, you can get a Pilot Varsity (USA market name) or a V Pen (EU market name); highly economical, great flow, good OE ink ( comparable to Pilot's  Iroshizuku inks), medium nib ( not scratchy; no excessive flow), made of good plastic (possibly a type of vinyl so it does not break like acrylic) and, although disposable, can be refilled ( mines have Noodler's Baystate Blue and Higgin's Eternal Black inks). Sorry for the long run!!!!

I'm confident that Fuzzbucket will have forgotten about this challenge....as well as his MTo password, and underwear...so this should be a fun challenge!   :tu:

Just ordered a three-pack of the V-Pen on Juan's recommendation, so I guess I'm definitely in for this one  :hatsoff:

I think I'll be doing this one, and maybe going for a badge if we get one, then just be in the Dean memorial and the Spartan Midsummer challenges for fun  :tu:

Going into the challenge with a pen like this will make it that much more meaningful, great find!!  :tu: :tu:
Thank you Comis!

I have good memories with the Parker 45 and my grandfather.

Parker Vector and Parker 45 Flighter are both cleaned, loaded with Pelikan Brilliant Brown ink.
I put both in use at work in June with good results. (I fear that I found another rabbit hole)

GF, glad you're joining, and hope that you'll find the pen a good-learning-workhorse one as I did. Here are, from left to right, my first nib regrinding job (from factory M to an Architect's/reverse cursive italic grind), my original-now-home based "highly mod'ded" one, and OE Varsities. (And yes to what Hevy says about "finding another rabbit hole" ...  )

I mentioned somewhere that I picked up several fountain pens for a few dollars.  They came with boxes of ink refills as well.  After a good clean and new ink they all performed fairly well.  Today was the day to refill each and get ready for this challenge.

I present my inexpensive flea market finds for the challenge.

I journal everyday so this is primarily what I'll be doing.  Not sure my penmanship will improve but thats ok.

Let’s get started!

Day 1

Whilst setting up the computer for work this morning I had to do some updates, one of which threw up a dialogue box, so I scribbled down a note before reporting it to my IT dept. I use this Kaweco AC Sport with a fine nib on my “home office” desk - I like the funky green anodising, though the carbon fibre-sequence panels less so! I complement the pen’s colour by using Caran d’Ache’s Delicate Green, my favourite colour despite the price of the ink!

Day 1:30

Gettin' ready for the challenge, and today's worth, here's the morning refill for the Zebra.

And truth be told, Rizio, that Kaweco looks stunning.  :like:

No, not this one! That would be my favorite: Baystate Blue. The shown one is from the "bulletproof" series, Polar Blue.

I've heard that Pelikan ink dry fast, and it's 'cure' to those nib that writes really wet.  Haven't tried that myself, what do you think?

These are good finds, Jinhao offers pretty good users and I do hope they will serve you in these days to come. :tu:

Awww, Noodler's and syringe!  I used to write with Zebra pens, but not with their fountain pen.  I look forward to see how this perform in this coming month.   Btw, I have heard they were having some 'PR' crisis regarding some of their ink names, but I have heard a lot of good things about their waterproof ink.

Really nice pen Comis!

About the Pelikan Ink. It really dry fast. Or at least faster than the Parker ink.

You'd probably know, but this one is a regular convertor pen.  But they do offer a pretty cool piston filler(or other filling mechanism).  I do have  a few of them, and really do enjoy the variety without breaking the bank.
