I think Auntie was absolutely right. Townsend wrote that back in 1958, so I'm a bit surprised that Auntie's querry wasn't extended to cover the fairer sex, too. Maybe Auntie was teaching at a boys' school. These days I suspect the teacher wiuold be asking about knife carry for very different reasons.... *** sigh ***

Day 09

A classic.  Case mini Trapper in yellow Delrin with CV blades. While I have a few Case knives, given I've committed to carrying 30 different knives this month, I'm eking out some of the knives I really love.  This might not be my favourite knife that I own, but it's certainly top ten.

Day 09:

The Camilus 66 Stockman was so pleasant to carry and use yesterday, that I had to slip it back into the pocket today.  Good thing, too. When I checked on the mailbox, I found no post, but rather a wasp's nest. Not at all what I had ordered.

Now, I have nothing against wasps. They too are nature's workers. However, having recently ordered a Case Barehead, I did not want anything to deter my postal delivery agent from her duly appointed rounds. Using the lovely Stockman, with its selection of cutting tools, I fashioned a long-handled fork with which to extract the wasp nest.

The wasps were not amused. I'm somewhat amazed that I didn't pay a price for my assault on their domicile. But, escape unscathed I did....
