I’ll think about it

One thing I do know for sure is that Swiss Champ will remain my EDC for at least quite a while now
Well I’m not sure I’ll go 60, but I’ll go for as long as it feels good

Day 31

A small lifehack today. Our kettle stands next to a gas cooker and sometimes catches a few drops of fat . Today I decided to clean it using wet wipes and well, it didn’t quite work as expected at first.

Then I though that when fat gets spilled it’s actually quite hot. So to be able to wipe it clean I had to make it hot again. How do I do it? Simple - just turn on the kettle.

Though since now the kettle became quite hot - I had to use Swiss Champ pliers to hold the wipes

Clean as a whistle now
Dream. Wish. Leave nothing undone. Repeat.

Day 30

Opened a jiffy bag with something good inside, and trimmed some nails.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Decision point now. Thinking I'll stop here, because it's 2.5 weeks of final exams ahead of me.  won't be getting much use out of it. But we'll see.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Oof I stopped after 30 for this reason. Giving my finals this weeks, grades due next week, summer course starts next week.

Great! My SC pliers also get quite the use around the kitchen for hot items.

:salute: good luck on the final exams guys. That is one week that was always stressful, less time spent in class but a constant nagging telling me to study more.

Day 32

Today I used the scissors for a few packages and wrappers in the kitchen. Also cut some bread for my 2 year olds cream cheese sandwich.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Day 32 of 60!

Sadly I am compelled to report complete failure of the SC tool set.

Often when we are separating the two trailers to dump on uneven ground a hammer is needed to drive out the pintle pin.

Turns out the SC can not replace a hammer in this application.

Who knew?

Also good luck on them exams fellas.

Glad to have everyone on the extended plan!  Harley, no failure there....that job has outdone many a heavy duty tool.

Oleksandr, after carrying your Swiss Champ for awhile, which do you prefer?  Swiss Champ or Work Champ?

Good luck on the exams.

Also, good luck those doing the extended 60 day challenge.

I decided to stop after 30 to participate in the Vintage.

Day 33

A little late as I have been caring for the kids solo this week. I treated myself to one of my serious addictions, street tacos. SC scissors are an elegant tool when the knot in the plastic is too tight to untie.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Yeah it is extremely rare to actually be able to untie.

Day 33 of 30

Final. Not going to continue the challenge, though I will keep carrying my Swiss Champ as an edc for sure.

I have a SeaToSummit camping towel that has a carrying bag. A zipper in that bag got torn at some point - not a big deal though. Used scissors to cut the thread after sewing it back into place, because repair is noble🪡

Dream. Wish. Leave nothing undone. Repeat.

Day 35

This week the weather has been warming into the upper 80s Fahrenheit, so carrying the champ is a bit more sweaty and cumbersome. Today I used the small blade on some mail.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

So as some of you may know on a semi truck a number of things including brakes, tailgates and tarps are run with air lines.

If these air lines are mixed up the results could range from annoying to catastrophic. To help prevent this we paint and mark the lines with colored tape.

On my service line today some red tape was unwinding itself so I used the SC to slice the tail off.
