If you want something cheap, and well nigh bombproof, get yourself one of these :)
http://www.heinnie.com/product.asp?strParents=&CAT_ID=0&P_ID=2833&strPageHistory=search&numSearchStartRecord=1

It'll piss over your maglite mate, while having a runtime at least 2-3 times as long on fresh cell's :)

Just grab a fauxton and super-glue it on the rear end of a pen... (that sounds wrong in many ways, but it should work... :-\)

:P :D

Are Infinities any good?

There bloody fantastic mate :D

There by far and away my favourite torch, as they tick all the right boxes for me...

Very robust and reliable.
Enough light to read by, without blinding yourself.
A massive amount of spill, so ideal for working in tight spaces.
Last's FOREVER on a cell, and will often work with apparently dead batteries :)
Can even run off aaa batteries in a push :)

They are a short range task light though, and are not much cop beyond 20-30 feet imo, but then I rarely use a light beyond that :)

Next step is to just implant the key in our head  :o :ahhh :ahhh

Mrs. C works in a care home and they just got one of those fingerprint scanners for clocking in and out  ::)

My immediate thought was 'I hope it is regularly sanitised' think of all germs and potential killers lurking on it  :o

I have a 'Pocketwrench' which is 4 inches that's very handy but not great for prying
and a Pocket Widgy that is also 4 inches and is quite handy, ok for prying but not really big enough

http://endtimesreport.com/survival_shop.html

not sure if that helps I think in your job you might need something a bit bigger

depending on who im with we normally have a set of these to hand

its surprising really we dont find we need them all that much, mostly for post boxes that have jammed and pouch box repairs
