I consider myself luckily enough to be his friend for quite a few of them, so all the best to you dude, we still seem to struggle to meet on the same continent.

This year I am celebrating my birthday in the paradise that is my father’s home, out in the woods and overlooking the river, surrounded by family.  Yes, even my nephews are here, having given up their weekend with friends, partners and jobs to come and spend my birthday with me, and I appreciate that more than they could ever know- although I would have absolutely understood if they hadn’t!  They are better young men than I was at that age!

Everyone is healthy and happy and for that, I am thankful.  I know how lucky I am to have them all in my life and in this world, and to have all of you taking time out of your day to wish me a happy day, even if it is only because Facebook told you to!

Thank you for the well wishes, and more importantly, thank you for contributing to the fullness of my life, and I wish you and your loved ones all of the happiness, joy and love I have felt this weekend.

Thank you all for being part of the madness here on the forum, and for enriching my life by sharing a bit of yourselves with me.   :tu:

I did indeed have a great day.  I spent most of it at home, except when we ventured out to the local waterfall, which sadly was quite dry due to a lack of rainfall recently.  Still, no complaints!

I had a great day surrounded by family and I couldn't ask for much better.

Build your own version of an MRE using off-the-shelf components, post a photo of the completed MRE and store at room temperature for 6 days or more. Consume the MRE after the storage period and post pictures and descriptions of the contents. Participate in a challenge by carrying  a Combo Edged knife or Multitool and post a photo of it  for thirty (30) consecutive days. Find him! Participate in a Challenge thread, carry a Buck knife or tool, and post a photo every day for 30 consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge and post a photo of a Utility Knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo daily of any SAK 74mm or smaller ( you can switch it up daily ) for thirty (30) consecutive days.  Post a pic for Halloween of your pumpkin (or turnip or gourd or whatever you traditionally carve for Halloween!) being carved by any SAK, multitool, pocket or woods knife you may own!  Only available once a year Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Delemont SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Complete a 30 day challenge for carrying a different Multi tool each day of the week based on one of the daily carry threads Participate in a Challenge and post a photo of a Traditional Scout Knife (No SAK's Allowed) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month.
