Hi. I’ve not been round for years as gave up collecting SAKs
However I need you expertise
I have found some rare ones in the loft I forgot I had
A buyer is wanting to buy them and not sure if I’m getting ripped off
The models are
Victorinox Director
Victorinox Windsor
Wegner Titanium with serrated blade, scissors  and file
All are mint in original boxes

Your best option would be to review past sales on eBay for like products.

Also, would depend where in this world you reside as some models are more desired in  different markets.

Interesting situation. Personally I would not jump at selling immediately. I would likely sell individually.

But since you already found a buyer, wants the whole lot, then just dispose of and wash your hands and move on.

Not going to be a big wind fall.

They appear nice!    Good luck and wish you the best.

Thanks. The offer on the table is £180 for the 4 in the photo excluding the Wenger Bucks. I’ve never met the guy and approached him on Etsy after I found them

In the UK we really can’t sell knives on line. EBay prohibits it. I just approached somebody who may be interested and then found out the possible age of the knives

Can’t speak to the others but I’ve certainly seen brand new directors with boxes go for $100 US or more on the bay

My gut says this is really low.  That works out to 45 pounds or about US $60 each for some fairly uncommon and discontinued SAKs, and they are all mint in box.

But, you’re clearly at a disadvantage not being able to put them up for sale online.

If you were able to get, say 1.5x or 2x his initial offer, but it takes some more time and effort on your part to find the right buyer(s), would be you be pleased or annoyed?

I once bid for the Wenger esquire titanium with serrated blade. It was in Nov 2023. It was in good condition but not new, without box. I lost interest at 100USD and it went higher than that.
Unfortunately the ebay link with my bid is not working anymore so I could not check the final price for you.
I would say this one is pretty rare.

It's worth at least double that. Used Directors and Windsors are going for you 50+

You are not limited to Etsy and ebay. You can sell them in our sale and trade section and get better prices.

I’m quite willing to sell them here as you guys are the collectors. The guy that made the offer is looking to resell. I sold most  of my collection here originally and they let me sell others that I found later on but I had to ask permission. Who do I approach for the ok?

Here's what I saw on eBay for completed sold items in US dollars:

* Victorinox Director - $100 ~ £76
* Victorinox Windsor - $80 ~ £60
* Wenger Titanium with serrated blade - couldn't find anything but I'd say over $100 ~ £76
*SwissBuck Sidekick - $30 ~ £23
* SwissBuck Globetrotter - $30 - £23

Bear in mind the above was just a cursory search on eBay so prices can vary.

If we tally the above you're looking at £258 pounds, before shipping costs, if you were to sell it individually and taking your time to do so.

Assuming your buyer will just resell, at £180 he can potentially net a £78 profit, before adding in shipping costs.

Glad to see everyone chipped in!!

And of course if your buyer is a reseller - you will get way below market value as he wants to make a buck!!

You don't need permission to sell here - Just do it - But please follow the guidelines

You could try a reverse auction. Start with a rather high value.



Then, with a few days interval, you lower the price a bit.



Then, the same again...



... and again, until you reach a value when someone says:



Then you sell!
