I do have one.. It's a first production run 1 out of 500.. It's decent, not anything to brag about!! The design is phenomenal, though!

How do you like the M&P, we are going to switch to it if our funds come through.  It has the most comfortable grip of any gun Ive held.

Love it.  In large part to the grip.  It feeds rounds very smoothly, is stone reliable, and is easy to disassemble and clean.  Good sites, nice weight.

A real joy to shoot.  I just wish rounds were as cheap as 22's.  I'd shoot a ton more with it.

S&W Sigma's.  I just conducted a T&E of several handguns and chose to suggest the M&P as a replacement.

Im glad they added the ability to tear it down with needing to pull the trigger.

I have a Taurus Millennium Pro compact .45 and really do like it.  It does have double strike but it really wouldn't matter to me, Tap, roll, rack is second nature to me.

As well you should.  They are the biggest P.O.S. going.  We have had a ton of issues.  It was hard for me to recommend Smith again but they are owning up to the fact we got jammed with a terrible gun.

You'll like the M&P I've shot my sister's fiances one (9mm w/nightsites and Streamlight flashlight) and it was very nice, it seemed to kick less than a Glock 19 C.

does anybody know or own?

Do not, under any circumstances, waste any money on any S&W knives.  They are distributed by a company called Taylor Cutlery which is the worst of the worst.  They wave the US flag all through their website and catalogue, insinuating that they are a US company, and they probably are, but all of the crap they unload on the unsuspecting public is the cheapest stuff they can find in mainland China... they take US names like Schrade and Smith & Wesson and cut out every scrap of quality and continue to sell it as if nothing has changed.

Some time ago, someone on KF bought a S&W folder then asked about it.  I, and many other members cautioned against it, but as he had it on the way already, it was too late to change his mind.  When it arrived, he raved about how good it was, and I ate crow, thinking that if he got a decent quality blade that he was happy with, who was I to argue?  Well, not even two weeks later he came back and apologized, stating about how it had failed miserably on him, and that once the novelty of a new knife wore off he started to see the flaws, which got worse day by day.

Smith & Wesson folders such worse than black holes.  In fact, they are the only matter that black holes will not suck into themselves, as even they apparently have standards.  I would recommend you spend your money on a discount hooker before spending it on a S&W knife- there's a chance you may enjoy the hooker for a few moments, and likely you will be stuck with something less disgusting afterwards.

But it looks really cool!

Where it's made is insignificant to me, as it definitely isn't made in Britain!

I just like the mechanism.

I think there was a knife just like that made in England. It was during WW II I remember reading about it on British Blades.
