My little contribution is this. Clip for Spirit, no glue, easy unmount....cheap and easy to build....I invite you to redesign this first attempt and trust to see your news homemade clips.

Apparently today in 2022 Victorinox liked your idea and launched the Swiss Clip identical to the one you show in the photos. Of course with high quality steel machining work.
Congratulations on your idea! You thought outside the box a long time ago!

G'Day,

I finally managed to get an X at a decent price here in Oz.

I'll carry it over the next few days at work to see how I get along with it. This is a quality tool!!!

I cannot post pics at the moment, the forum gives me an error. I'll try later to add a few pics

Thanks Mate, it took a while. I could add pics, once I did the post text only, one at a time. It did not allow me to add the four pics when I created the post. Odd, it has never happened before.

I have only used the blade and the scissors so far. Both are very sharp, I did run the blade over a leather strop to get the edge I like. It is more comfortable in the hand than I originally thought with the "banana" handles...  :D

G'Day,

It has been a few days now using the Spirit and I REALLY like it. The tool just oozes quality and it is SO comfortable, looks can be deceiving... My poor LM Wave is getting withdrawal symptoms.

So far it has been mainly the knife blade and the scissors. I used the pliers once and that was a very comfortable fit.

I am thinking of doing a Spirit challenge, however I want to do it when I have a few days off with a bunch of chores to do. That way I can really test the tool and its implements.

Cheers, Pete

There's a badge dedicated to the Spirit.  If it's from May onwards count me in!

Hello again. Today I saw Vic's novelty for 2022. Beautiful clip for our spirits, although a little late for me. Indeed, they have improved in quality compared to my design, which makes me very happy, since mine ended up broken due to poor tempering. That design was my small contribution to the forum, since I had not entered this community again. I hope to take time and continue, if not contributing, at least reading all your wonderful speeches.
Regards.

Hello, Juan. I'm doing very well thanks. With my young children, who don't give me much rest, but without new tools or mods to show.
Greetings.

Glad to hear that you're doing good pal,and so is your little boy; I can only imagine those restless nights! But, I'm sure they're also great moments of pride and joy hangin' out around the home with him.  :tu:
Too bad to learn that the precursor of the Swisstool's clip broke, as it looked pretty good.
Hope to read again from you from time to time! "¡Salud!"

Thank you very much. I hope to be able to contribute with new solutions, although wonders like the spirit ones are difficult to improve.
Greetings from Valencia Spain

Putting my Spirit MX Clip to use today installing door hardware. Technically the Swiss Tools ratchet is not part of the Spirit, but I borrowed it from my larger Swiss Tool X...works well in tight places like this one.

I'm hosting a Swisstool Super Challenge in May.  I'd love to have you guys!  It's for one month of carrying either the Swisstool or the Spirit, your choice.  At the end of the challenge, you are eligible for one or the other badge.

Glad you could, as I don't regret or have concerns with mine! :tu:

Just in case for anyone reading this, all that the holding screw needs is to be snug (I did dab a drop of locktite on its threads); no need for torque as the clip has a contoured depression that fits in the corkscrew attachment, preventing rotation/wobbliness.

BO Spirit came in today and was paired with a black classic:

It was put to work right away:

Replacing the line of the weed wacker and cleaning the lawn mower after work

I am undecided yet if I like the black oxide. It does not seem to be very deep, still a pretty decent reflection in the tool. I think I like Gerber's version better. Will see how it will hold up. What do you guys think about the BO?
