Maybe a good sign for the ST300.The ST300 is a completely new concept though and bound to be the usual 6 months late.

I will get one when they come out. In fact, I found out that the local gun/archery shop can order any current production Leatherman, Gerber, Byrd, and a few SOGs. I am thinking of later ordering one model, wait till it comes in, order another, etc. Might be cheaper then eBay with the expensive shipping charges.
I'm sure you are right but I would get me a SURGE if I needed something sturdier than the wave. Not having OHO seems a real step back to me. Often in work situations I have one hand already in use.

Holy jumpin' Jesus! She's a beaut!
These new pics make the handles look fat (too fat IMO)...they SHOULD be no larger than those of the original Super Tool, but the locking mechanism may require extra room. I have no problem with the old Super Tool locking mechanism...slow (and potentially dangerous), yes...but it kept the tool slim while having a ton of full sized tools inside.

They add quite a bit of space and make the tool very fat.
So any words on if core will be discontinued for this?

Personally, I don't think the Core will be discontinued. The SuperTool looks like a great multi (and I will have several), but it will be more expensive than the Core.I thought the ST 300 looked a lot thinner than I expected. Sure, it's not as thin as an Original Supertool, but, I doubt it will be as thick as the Core.
