Yeah if it wasn't for the blade on mine i would be happy with it, the flipper is fast, the lock is very strong and it looks nice so if the aus 8 is a massive improvement then its probably worth checking out.  It's just a shame i opted for the version with such poor steel that there's little point actually flipping it open when the handle would do just as good at a cutting job  :P
