Another MP 600 Review
on: July 26, 2009, 02:57:18 PM
I got myself one of these a while ago. Not quite sure if it's my cup of Yorkshires' finest yet but it looks fairly useful and seems to be as well made as anything out there. End of review  :D

ps. Sorry no photos, but I sold them to OK Magazine for a LOT of money

Great review mate.

One criticism I have with your review was that I found it to be too "wordy".  I always find 500 words is enough for me.  :D
I'm back!!

So glad you liked it. In truth there's not much to say at the moment, it seems ok, but it can't make a cup of tea, prepare a meal, provide witty banter or any of the other useful things my Spirit and Swisstool can do  ;) Oh, one thing, they could have cleaned the swarf off the serrated blade before they sent it out.

My Diesel was the same ::)

So was my Vic OH-GAK.

Lots of swarf left on the woodsaw and tiny bits left on the serrations of the big blade.

Manually removed the tiny bits of swarf from the big locking blade.

Still tiny bits of swarf left on the woodsaw after cutting through a couple of branches.  Eventually it came off by itself - all gone now.

It's a decent well made tool although I haven't come to terms with the fact that it's quite long closed up. A bit long for pocket carry whereas the Spirit for example is ok. But it's got it's own character  :tu:
