Wow! Beautiful knives, Argento!
This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David

Thanks :)

Steel is on most of the knives D2, because i can get it cheap and its a very good steel, also get it in all dimensions from 1mm up to 30mm in thickness.
Some are made of Bohler N690, which is the same steel Extrema Ratio uses on their knives, also a good steel.

@ ringzero
took me a while to figure out the wrapping, but it works just fine for it.
This thing really was a beast of a knife. Its 5mm thick and the blade was about 12cm in lenght

i´m really into this hollow pins right now you see on many of the knives.
First, it keeps the scales really in place, no way they gonna come off, because of the thickness of the material, its 10mm.
second, it gives you some alternatives for a lanyard or for lashing it, maybe onto a stick or something.
and they look great, don´t you think :D

just ask me if you have any questions.

Best wishes
Robert

like always, i just try it, sometime something good comes out of it :D
So far, i didn´t really mess one up and to be honest, knifemaking is not that hard.
except for folding knives, tried that, it´s hard to fit all components together.

nice  :tu:

I always wanted to try knife making myself, but I could never find an anvil.  The shipping on ebay tends to kill it...

Well, you don´t really need an anvil, i don´t forge these, stock removal. I take a piece of steel and cut and file away what don´t belong to a knive.
You can do that. Even if you want to forge a blade, you don´t need much. For an anvil simply take an old sledge hammer ;-)
There´s always a way to do it with stuff you have at home.
But don´t ask me about this stuff to much, i send mine away for heat treatment, thats the only thing i don´t do myself
