Hi,

I can tell you so much:
Sperber is a bird means - sparrow hawk
CR.Stahl, Cr means probably Chrome, Chrome Steel.
Most likely a german Company, couldn´t find anything on the web, except some pics of other Sperber knives.

Well, I sold this on eBay and asked the guy if he knew anything about the knife.  He said Cr-Stahl means chromium steel.

er...what is chromium steel?  Is that good?

Unless the germans have a steel standard using that naming format, it's just telling you what the alloy is... Chromium is used in rust-resistance applications. That is all.

I believe it is a type of stainless steel, something similar to 614 alloy.

That´s what  i said earlier, Chrom-Stahl  =  stainless steel
