I have to say its a lot easier to do this kind of knife (with a bevel only on one side and the 'Tanto' blade) compared with the last one I did

Its had a bit of a polish and not looking too bad  :dd:

That's it more or less finished with a 'heat-shrink sleeving's' handle,
I will wait and see how the edge holds up as I have not tempered this one,
I'm hoping it will be OK  :think:

I did not bother and tried to keep the steel from getting too hot by dipping it in water a lot,
I guess I find out how well I did when I take it out to play  :salute:

Aren't files supposed to be very hard/brittle and as such not directly usable as knife material? :think:

Yes that's the right way to do it.... so I thought bugger it I will have a play with this as it is and If I have to I will temper it another day

I'm not sure if like the look of that but If I did I would have to get the tempering right  :think:

My knife is a blatant copy of I have paid homage to the Stiff Kiss as I think its a great knife  :tu:
