I know this is probably going to be met with a pile of criticism, but I never really thought much of John Lennon as a song writer, and feel that a lot of his stuff was too politically motivated to truly be enjoyable.

Paul McCartney on the other hand is also politically active, but doesn't ram it down everyone's throat like John did, and is a brilliant writer....

Let the lynching commence.
