if you ask neil nicely he might tell you what he fed to his antique wrench to make that grow up :P

Such naivety ::)  Most knives are made from the skeletons of giants.  The older they are when dispatched the bigger the blades you can get from them.

Cool, I visited two car boot sales this morning and found nothing :(

Will the BAKs clean up or need pulling apart?

That was a shame Neil!
I was more than pleased with my haul this morning
(I got a miniature pillar drill as well)  :drink:

The BAK's are soaking in oil at the minute
And the SAK is looking a lot better after I re-profiled the main blade
and spent some time rubbing, cleaning and polishing (still needs more work though)

Ryan,
I had one before and they are very handy I had mine for 10ish years, they come with  three bits in the handle but If you give it too much stick you will bugger it up ( :twak: lad I was working with buggered mine up)

That adjustable plier/wrench gadget is pretty neat. :tu: Somebody needs to come up with a multitool based on that concept :multi:

Here it is Neil,
It is tiny and in lovely condition  :tu:
I have not had time to try it out (or make a space for it) yet

J-Sews
'Footprints' as I call them have been around for many years over here
I love them, they are simple, very strong and go on for years
I don't know anyone that has ever broken a pair, the worst thing that can happen is you loose the adjusting screw
I will try to take better pic's in a min :salute:

Thanks Tony :tu:

I keep lusting after one of these ...

Or better still one of their Mini mills, I'd settle for a manual one but whilst we're dreaming...

Neil,
I was really lucky/happy to find that one as I had one in the back of my mind for ages

Ryan,
I'm collecting them for someone else's collection  ::)

J-Sew's
Here are all mine
The left hand (7'' 175mm) pair I got 30 years ago and I still use them at work quite a lot (lost the screw :-[ )
The middle pair I picked up today (I have just noticed someone had added extra holes)
The right hand pair are the newest they are 9'' 225mm, I took them apart so you can see how they work a bit better  :salute:

Excellent finds, Sparky; I know... whomever... it is who asked you to keep your eyes open for the openers will be quite pleased, if he isn't already. ;) :D  Just PM me with the total, please. :)

Ryan,
You never seen them in action before?
You don't work with any grumpy old Sparkies then?
They are great for doing conduit! (threaded rod, rounded off nuts an bolts)
They tend to bugger up the surface of whatever you use them on so for example you wouldn't use them on a set of bathroom taps  :dwts:

If you get some remember;
They only work in one direction
You don't squeeze them like pliers!!
The harder you push the harder they grip

PS, Blokes you work with will take the piss until they try to undo the conduit you put in with them  ;)
