That "Buttons" Classic looks pretty good on that lanyard. :salute: That is the only new fashion classic I choose not to buy. Might have to change my mind.

Thought I saw that on eBay lol
There was actually several at the same time. I bought a lot of 3 knives and this was one of them. And its not even the knife I was really after from the 3.

@stressmaster

I didn't even like it from net photos I had seen but I had someone (forum friend) from Columbus Ohio come down for a visit and we went to the Vic store here and I fell in love with it. She got the robot one that day also.

Looks like I've got a 84mm Climber on the way to me. :tu:

http://www.edcsource.com/109574,auction_id,auction_details

What a price  :o

I'd only have used it for mods if I'd won it and it was in far too nice a condition to butcher  :-[

I ordered a couple of knives from Wayne and look what came in the box!

I'm glad to see he finally acknowledged it was in the wrong collection :P :P

Thanks again mate
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Yeah I though I had to try and save that one from the Evil clutches of Mr Pillar Drill. >:D  It'll very nicely fit in with my group of 84mm Vic's and so is going to kept just as is (except for the wear marks I'm sure to add to it).  :D

That classic has your name all over it mate. :tu:

Glad you like it. Of course I knew you would.

Now how about another classic I have not even put it on the blog yet. Its almost a Princess but it is missing the key ring. The shield is inlay metal. Santa Fe.

I finally decided to get an older Wenger, from the "Wengerinox" era, because they look quite nice.
It has a broken off secondary blade that someone has turned into a screwdriver and has markings on one side. It does not appear to have had a bail at any point.
It is a shame as the rest of the knife shows very little wear, for its age.
It is similar to a Wenger classic 101.

Too bad about the blade. The knife looks great. What size is it? The older Wengerinox knives came in 2 different sizes just like Victorinox.

It is longer than the Victorinox 91mm models by a few mm; I would say about 93mm.

It is also about the same thickness.

It looks more elegant than the standard, stubbier, Wengers of today.

That Lion of Luzern looks great.  :tu: The company that does it also does a large number of other handles in that same style. Never been able to find a dealer for them on-line. Swiss Bianco at one time was trying to work out a deal with them, but it fell through.

Swissbianco has these in stock now but he ships only to US and Canada.
Sometimes he keeps an few knives behind in Swiss and he sells them from
there to European buyers.
The only way for overseas collectors to get +B knives is to find an US adress
he wil ships to.
Usefull for some 'US ebay' and other 'CONUS only' sellers to.
I use sometimes 'shipito', works great for me but it costs some $$ more.

Maybe in the near future I need some of them to start with.

Just received this sheath knife. The only marking is "Wengerinox", without a country name or anything else. Don't know if Wenger actually made it or it was made for Wenger. The handle looks similar to the classic German Scout knife. The basic design and construction are okay, but not great. An interesting addition to the collection. Out in the woods I think I'll stick with my Fallkniven.
