Right now I'm doing my 30 day Camper challenge, so I'll have to use it along with or after.
All I know is I really love 3 layer SAKs.

I AM WEAK.
A few weeks ago I bought an Heuliez/Volvo blue companion, It wasn't in bad shape .... but to day I found the same one, like new... So I took it.

Two is one, One in none... right?

At a local monthly flea market, the guy had two, but only showed one at a time (or I'd only have bought the one in better shape xD)

Interesting find. This one has the toolset of a Rover, but SAKWiki doesn't list alox scales as an option for that model. Has anyone seen one of these before?

Very neat find. Nothing in my notes except the comment that most Rovers are advertising knives, so may have been a special run for the company.   :tu:

.......
Also, didnt realize there was a fisherman variation with a file...gonna read up on this...I never collected the fisherman and anglers since I'm not much of a scaler user, but I love the inlays.
I don't fish either, but I do love the inlay. I have 5 different models with it, I think that's all of them.

Nice shoal of fish there you have there MD - I like the fishes too - but only have one -
Although I am very happy to say it's on a Deluxe Angler !!!  :o  :D

Did you find anything out JJ?

I recognise and Angler, Fisherman and Deluxe Angler in the piccie - But two fishes I don't recognise
The blue top left three layer one and the one with the file
The Wiki does not seem to mention these two models

Thanks!

The blue one seems to be a pre-1973 Fisherman (clip point small blade and no measuring units on the fish scaler). Someone on FB shared a beautiful pic of one just like this with a bail, freakin' awesome.

Swiss Knives says the one with the file is a Deluxe Fisherman.

Some stuff en route, will arrive this week or next week:

- 3 red alox Soldiers from the early sixties (1 Elsener, 2 Wenger, already mentioned these earlier)
- Passenger
- 2016 Pioneer
- Silver alox Bantam
- Victorinox Soldier from 1947
- Victorinox Soldier from 1968 (Silver alox, Elsener stamp)

It's gonna be a mighty fine Christmas this year!  :ahhh
Although I must admit some of these items are for resale, to cover the cost of the ones that will stay, but i'll make that decision after they arrive :)

Surprisingly compact for 5 layers, fits nice and snugly in the standard Victorinox leather pouch for "2-4 layers":

It looked to be in great shape. I'm kind of a bottom feeder on inexpensive SAKs but that was a pretty good deal on one this collectible. I considered it! Glad you got it.

I ended up finding a really cheap Compact as part of a 2 knife lot. I'm just looking for the combo tool as a donor part so I'm not picky but what often happens is if the knife cleans up well I don't have the heart to part it out. This one not only doesn't have the file on the hook, it doesn't have the hook! Rear scale has a deep ding though.

The odd thing is that from the pictures it looks like the pen head is metal (?!) Not sure what I'm looking at with the seller's blurry photo but it doesn't look like the pen head on all my other plus scales pens.

Also grabbed an 84mm Electrician, at least I think that's what it is, one of those Radio Shack ones.

Like I said, bottom feeder! But man...I could see myself parting with some money for one of those Space Shuttle Master Caftsmans...someday

Awesome grabs Foldy B and Oxford G. Fine pieces for the collection. :tu:

Unless I am wrong, what you have there is a Golfer 91mm (no hook) instead of Compact.

That's how they should have marketed this knife, the Victorinox Hot Dog Tool.
Probably more hot dog consumers carry a SAK than Golf players.
