Someone's got a Modeler on the way....
(someone is me)

So... I really hope I'm wrong here... but I suspect that might be a Champion. Modelers don't traditionally have fine screwdrivers on them, although this could be a yet unknown variation that does. eBay sellers are notorious for not opening the saw and fish scaler on early Champions (they blend in with the full height liners so the sellers don't actually know they're there), leading to a lot of collectors buying them as Modelers and them ending up being Champions. I personally have learned this lesson the hard way. Twice  :-[

If this really is a Modeler, congrats on a very awesome knife - the variant with the fine screwdriver is very rare indeed.

Dang that's kind of a bummer. But thank you for the information.  :salute:

I've been trying to collect a few variations of the Yeoman.
I think I'm only lacking the SwissBianco Yeoman Mechanic now.
Here's my latest, the SBianco Yeoman MS (metal saw).

Thank you LW! It's quite nice.  I just got my Cyber Yeoman a week ago straight from SwissBianco in Canada.  He might have more, but I'm unsure.

FolderBeholder, you have some very nice SAKs!!!

I started out really liking the philips driver instead of the cork screw (Tinker) and then wanting scissors (Super Tinker)...adding an inline philips driver and a magnifier boosted my admiration for the Explorer into the stratosphere!  Getting what I consider a perfect combination in an acceptable 4-layer form factor should be enough to keep me perpetually happy with my SAK choice (and I am).  However the addition of the magnifier and inline philips (and scissors when available) has this magnetic effect on me. The Champion, the Swiss Champ, the Explorer, the Yeoman, the Scientist...anything with a magnifier gets my attention.

Great acquisition!

I realised that my "collection" was missing one fundamental piece, a Spartan. I've got a number of high end SAKs which generally get rotated through my pocket but this classic basic model somehow had been left out.

I like racing green - most of mine are either this, black or cammo. I have one with Swiss Bianco copper scales but I'm not overly fond of the silver tech or jelly ones.
SAKs
Wenger Soldier, Pioneer, Pioneer Farmer, Pioneer X, Classic, Cadet
Climber, Mountaineer, Deluxe Tinker, Ranger, Cybertool 39, Cybertool 41, Fieldmaster, Handyman, Explorer, Soldier, Evogrip 18
Leatherman
OHT, Surge, Skeletool, Freestyle, Squirt and Sideclip
Spyderco
UKPK, Urban Lightweight, Squeak, Squeak Ti, PITS, Mantra, Harpy, Tasman Salt, Rescue 79, Assist, Techno, Civilian, Cliptool Serrated, Paramilitary 2, Ti Dog Tag, ARK H1, Bug, Honeybee and Grasshopper
Fallkniven F1, Mora Garberg, Ka-Bar MK 1

This fellow arrived on it's own yesterday. You could say arrived solo.  ;)

It was in way worse condition that I assumed by the pictures the seller posted online.
The back scale is missing a small piece and the blade... *sigh* it looks like someone sharpened it with a brick.

Or tried to stab a brick and won.
It's hard to captire on camera but the entire surface is scratched heavily and the edge of the knife is sharpened unevenly.
It also looks like someone put a light taper on the top of the blade, near the tip. Could be that's stock, I don't know.

I do really like the shape and size of the knife. I think this is a perfect food companion.
The blade is noticably larger than the 91mm one (here with the Huntsman)

So it's much easier to put butter on bread that with a 91mm.

Oh, and it reeks of oil. Heavy motor oil. So I have some cleaning to do.
