Going insane!   :ahhh

In the past three days I've bought nine knives off ebay. Two are custom. Two are so rare I have no record of them in my notes. One finishes up a series I've been working on for years..

Stay tuned for more thrilling updates!   :D
You had me at no record. We've seen your notes.  :D

I have seen them too,   here are a few technicians who are gathering materials to duplicate them

After purchasing my 11th Explorer at the end of January, I attempted to put the brakes on my purchases.  At the same time, I was was starting to become an enthusiastic Swiss Champ purchaser but nipped it in the bud at 4, just barely avoiding getting two more.  It's not just Explorers or Swiss Champs...I don't know how many Compacts I have or Tinkers or Super Tinkers or Classics.  After taking a break and proceeding more carefully with two Grand Prix purchases and some others, I was feeling good about my reasonable purchases.  Tonight, I fell off the wagon with a MiniChamp purchase, my 5th (but it was such a good deal).  I chalked up the latest impulse buy to missing the close of two auctions I had been following for 6 days (wife & I were watching a movie).

There something in me that wants to purchase multiple copies of SAK models that I really like (I have 3 CT-34s & 2 CT-29s and am planning to get the CT-41 & CT Lite).  Then there are the Alox SAKs...I figured I got the best in the Pioneer X and wouldn't want any more.  Then I decided to get the Cadet and then an Alox MiniChamp and now I'm looking at the Electrician...maybe I should get the plain Pioneer while I'm at it.  Of course, I can stop anytime I like.

Are they different or all the same? If they have different handles then you're a tasteful connoisseur like me. If they're all the same then you're an obsessive hoarder like SAK Guy. Either way you're doomed.

My estimate is 75% different & 25% the same.  Although true, much of my post was somewhat tongue in cheek since these purchases were mostly deliberate rather than poor impulse control.  The truth is that I WANTED them.  :)

Good thing I spend more time admiring other folks' SAKs than buying more of my own.  :)
