Finally got my NIB Mauser. For a steal price as well.
  :gimmie:

I'd be happy with a used one if I could only get black scales :(

In addition to the black Walther there are reports that the German police used a black version of the eagle-handled Trooper. Supposedly some were imported into the US. I've never seen one, but worth keeping an eye out for.

Oh I've been looking. They usually go way out of my price range real quick :(
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Hello all!
Newb here. Recently rediscovered a childhood affinity for SAKs. I picked up this new craftsman after getting slightly burnt on fleabay. I drastically overpaid for a used ranger modded to be a master craftsman (really dig the file, philips, and no plier config there). The thing has almost no snap and the file is totally spent. Uggh live and learn... Anyways this is a great forum with a ton of great info! And if any accomplished modders wanna replace that file for me gimme a shout :)

I didn't buy it.  I found it.  It was one of the original black handle Swiss Champ.  It was to be used for a trip to the Philippines, back in 89, that never materialized.

It sure is a 'vintage' beauty! Welcome to the custom club. Are you going to use it, Marius? Enjoy!

Yup :) Thanks. This was the reason this custom was done, to be an user. The vintage SAK sacrificed for this (oh, the sacrilege! ::)) was a factory failure and I was not going to enjoy it either as an user or as a collectable (not the sort of factory mistake I'd prefer). Thus the experiment, which came out better than expected.

My latest SAK is one I found in a box in the attic the other day.
It is an Explorer model purchased around 1989 and lost in a box of old military uniforms and gear.
I wiped it off with gun oil, sharpened the blade and put it in my toolbox.

Vic. Compact that arrived last week and have two Alox Electricians out for delivery end of this week.  After reading that some of the Alox models have been discontinued, I decided to get two Electricians...one for work and the other to put back with all the rare/discontinued models I have.

I've not bought any recently but got these 2 mods recently.
CT31 which I got tattoosteve99 to do for me. It started life as a CT34 but with the pliers layer removed to make it that but more EDC' able.

And a farmer with scissors

Well If you've been here a while and tend to notice things, you'll know I love the Voyageur.  I think Neil's picture of a smooth alox version a few years back got me mesmerized with them.  I recently received this nwe beauty from Syph007;  a hardened Voyageur.  Love It!

I will post pics later......

Went to gunshow today.   I did NOT plan to buy anything but ammo.  BUT....a Wenger EVO-54  caught my eye.  Price the seller told me: $40.  "I will think about it..."

Came back, and bought it for......$30!!!!  Listed on Smokey Mountain Knife Works new for $125.99.....

Barely used.  Is missing a toothpick....but an easy fix.

MOLON LABE!
