When my mother (!) noticed I carry a Vic Tinker, she said matter-of-factly that she has a Vic that was much bigger than mine and said I could have it! :-D
She got it from a friend years ago. She also said something funny : "Every man should own a Vic knife!". :-O
I'm not sure about the model though, but the heftiness suggests an early model of Vic Swisschamp? The insignia and stamp suggest it's an older model but it's in a very good condition.

- 1 large blade knife
- 1 small blad knife
- Corkscrew driver (hollow not solid)
- Magnifier
- Metal saw / file
- Wood saw
- Bottle opener + large screw driver
- Can opener + small screw driver
- Big Phillips driver
- Awl
- Scissors
- Medium size flat screw driver
- A very sharp edged screw driver (??)
- Fish scale remover + ruler
- Toothpick
- Missing tweezers

By the way that sharp screwdriver is actually a chisel :tu:

Ah, thanks for the info! I thought it was too sharp to be a regular screw driver, but perhaps little too small for it to be a chisel!

Oldish Explorer for my birthday - not in very good nick, but with some cleaning and a new scissor spring generously donated from Farmman (Thanks again) it's scrubbed up nicely.

Before;

After;

I like the solid scales, thicker tang, old style magnifier and screwdriver and I'm EDC'ing for a while.

Okay, I have a few "latest" SAKs to add here. All arrived while I was out of the country.

Hercules for $24 and 11 Soldier for $21

There was also a Ruby Climber with these for $5

Three Wengers. A couple of oldies and a '85 Professional series. (wanted a Wenger Pro for a long time...)

need to make up a couple of bushes and a bail for this one.

The old Wenger I got from Papercut now has a twin. :-)

and lastly a nice Red Cadet and not a SAK, but a Style CS.

Yeah isn't it! I could never imagine I'd get a "vintage" Champ for free and just like that.
Wifey claims I'm greedy and she demanded I surrender a Vic to her. I said heck no, that's gonna break up my collection, so for her, I ended up ordering a Vic Manager. :-)

Peter, you beat me on that Wenger Professional.

I was bored one evening and ran across a Victorinox Wood Spartan, NIBlister, on eBay, and being that I've wanted one for a while, decided to put in the minimum, opening bid on the tool with a couple days to go.  It was a modest bid, I think around $18 or $19, since I'm thrifty and try not to pay full asking price on items, with the expectation of being outbid... a couple days later, I won it, surprisingly enough, and had it delivered to my door for just at $22 - not bad since it's closer to $29 going rate for the knife.  I must say I rather enjoy the wooden scales, though with having to wear dress pants to work, I have only carried the Spartan once or twice in the couple weeks I've owned it. :/

I like the big Wenger Rangers except for the folding pliers. I have one with a combo edge but with the OH and plain edge I might have to get one like this too!   :tu: :tu:

Nice RangerGrip with the blade inscription!
A word of caution, however.
The pliers level should fold down all the way to the liners.
I just experienced the same problem with a RangerGrip, and I had it replaced.
Here is a picture I sent to show the problem: on the model on the left the pliers fold down correctly.
On the right, you can see the don't close all the way down.

Not properly a sak..... But, as I wrote in another thread, this knife is a Duca D'Abruzzi, from Maniago. A very common model since 30 years ago, now absolutely discontinued. The name came from the personal equipment of the leader of the expedition to Pole North in 1900 Luigi Amedeo D'Aosta. Maniago (a cutlery city with hundreds of little industries and craftmans involved in blades) was thought to be the place where corkscrews and scissors where also made for fitting the original Saks.  Althought if general quality was not at the exact level to the Swiss Army Knifes this italian knifes  where good products, often with high carbon chrome plated blades (like the famed stilettos) and I immagine they could become a collectors piece soon or later. Or better say I hope so :)
side by side a 1965 sak's corkscrew and the vintage maniago original stag handle....do You spot any similarities?
