thanks,

the most amazing part is the seller (on ebay) had 4 SAKs.  and he did not open all of the blades on any of them.  I got the Marlboro troubleshooter, a Salesman, a Climber and a Bantam for $18.00.

 :ahhh

yeah,  I posted about it here

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,47360.0.html

slight correction to the list of SAKs

I bought this lot for the troubleshooter , quick is fairly clean but had a chipped scale b [Marlboro troubleshooter]  I ordered some black plus scales for it.   However the pliers were twisted by about  .5mm. Pic below  Any advice on correcting this?

But what looked like aSuper Tinker turned out to be a salesman,  what looked like a tinker turned out to be a hiker that the seller did not open the saw.

I am not a huge fan of Wenger, but the Wenger [ large blade, nail file, scissors,  can opener,  cap life, corkscrew,  awl, no sign of tweezers or tooth pick] is in good shape.   The three Vics are dirty, but I can fix that.   All in all I feel I made out pretty good

Not sure about the plier fix, never had to fix, I saw another lot of Marlboros but I think I am going to bid on a Woodsman instead

Probably would have bought a Sportsman for every day use but then Amazon had the Limited Edition 2012 Spartan for 13 Euros.
So I grabbed one.

Guess what? It's the same as any other red Spartan. With some string on it. And a number. Whooo-hooo! (It's Limited Edition in the sense that everyone in Europe could buy one and they'd still have 80,000 in the factory...)

But it's a Spartan. Red scales. Was a finer knife ever made?

Very nice, Gareth!
Is there a company logo on the other scale? Almost all yellow ones I have seen have the cross and shield on the back scale
I believe so, but it's not landed on my door step yet so I can tell you what it might be. ;)
