Very commendable. I think a collection gets so big that even thinking about making an inventory list is daunting. I know I need to do one sooner or later.

Is there a similiar pile of knives somewhere?

I forced myself to make an inventory list after I unknowingly bought a couple of knives I already had. I didn't really want to do it, as it forced me to recognize the extent of mow much money I've dropped on little red pocket knives  :o. It has also ruined my plausibly deniable answer of "I don't know" when asked how many I have.

I didn't bother with a picture since there's not much to see, but here's a shot of the heaviest drawer in my house!

Well just for the fun of it, here's a few more for you.  I forgot to take pics of the infamous tackle boxes full of SAKs though.  I have a new one that's dedicated to just ALOX though....

SAK Drawer

Some of my boxed SAKs, all cellidor models.

Multitool Drawer

Mush the same as the SAK drawer, only with multitools.

Parts Bins With Assorted SAKs and Multitools

This is where many of my SAKs and multis without boxes or sheaths live, except of course for the boxed and sheathed stragglers you see on top that are still waiting to be sorted.

Tool Chest #1

SAKs, multitools, knives, parts and flashlights live in here.  The bottom drawer of this one is the pic shown above.

Tool Chest #2

Much the same as #1, only featuring more boxed tools and knives.

Desktop

Because I play with things and EDC other things and I rarely get around to putting away my toys when I'm done.  There's many more strewn about this room especially, and others that have made their way around my apartment and garage.

Empty Box Box

A box full of empty boxes.  When I'm finished sorting things out I'm going to go through my empty box box, and see if I can find the matching tools and SAKs for each box and put them away.

There's a quick view of my collection, or most of it anyway.  Any questions?  :D

Very nice sir  :salute:

I've two questions please :D

Would you ever entertain the popular red tool chest method of storing your stuff?

Also which Leatherman came out of the big box below?  :o

I wish I was that organized with the boxes and sheaths. Going to take some photos of my crappy storage system for those and post them in here for some laughs.

Here is the first sheath repository. I think the oldest is also the deepest. Got to love stratification organization.

Then I started to get some boxed items, I figured I would need to store them, so I used this shelf space to stack them up neatly.

Then I got lazy…  :-[

I should clean those up and make then proper again.

Cerbera, that big box is a LM h502.  It's huge, but no where near as big as the one for the Vista!

I don't separate my sheaths and tools.  I kind of have a little OCD about it- each tool has to be kept with the sheath it came with.  When I line them up for pictures, I line up the sheaths (or boxes if applicable) in the order they are laid out in for the picture, so I can be sure each tool goes back into the same sheath it came out of.  Silly I know, but we all have our quirks.

You should have seen how much time it took me to set up this shot:

I had to make sure all the boxes were lined up in exactly the same order as the knives so they would all end up in the right place, despite some of them not having boxes....

Nice photo Def. Some lovely colours there.

Well, if I had to dig each tool out of its box and possibly its sheath, I would have given up in trying to take their photographs as often as I do for this web site. If I have a box and it is clearly labeled which tool it goes with, then the sheath will remain in the box, but the tool itself will go on display in one of the drawers. I even removed the sterling silver Charge and Damascus Wave from their presentation cases so that they can be displayed in their designated drawer space.

I have a huge box full of sheaths - it doesn't really work too well. I can bever find anything  :-\

I have a couple of weeks off after tomorrow and I think I'm going to put some of those sheaths back in their boxes - I've left them in the last few boxes I've received anyway.
