A few SAKs for peanuts.  These are models I don't have, or ads I wanted. Most are also in colors I don't have.  But, this seller has given me some minor grief every now and then. Their inventory system is inadequate, and they will often substitute POS knives in their place. And I have been sent the wrong knife a few times. The fine folks at Kershaw will have to fix one of this seller's slip ups soon; a Kershaw Leek with a blade that is an inch short, and sharpened on a bench grinder.  The guy never said anything sent me anything back after I contacted him about this knife.

Spartan, Asea Brown Boveri (Red translucent) They operate a factory producing high voltage transformers in Bland, about a half-hour from here. AMR Pemco, located here in town, does some of the winding work for them.  Both companies are on my list for employment when I start looking for a job this fall, and  I feel that (if knives are allowed) carrying a knife at work with the company's logo would be great.  Meant to buy an identical knife from Grant two years ago (right before I went on the grand tour of the ABB facility), but this was at a time I didn't have my own payment method; and getting it approved through my folks was tough.

Standard (late '70s?) Brown Boveri. Company merged with ASEA in 1988 to form ABB thus for sure, we know the knife is no newer than that.  Inlaid ad, and a vintage SAK. Thus, I couldn't help it for $5 since it was grouped in the same selection as the knife above.  Collection knife to never be carried or used (except as a dress carry at special events if I work at one of the two aforementioned companies). This is the one after the '70-73 Standard I have in the Spartan evolution subcollection.

Tinker. I don't have one anymore. I gave my NIB 1980s Caterpillar Tinker Small to a buddy of mine 3 1/2 years ago, as I knew he'd appreciate it, and it would mean I'd finally free myself of the temptation to carry it. This is an SAK that serves as "just a pocketknife with some extra stuff". Scales will be replaced with custom orange G-10 from SwissBianco.  Did not notice scales are chipped, but since they're getting replaced, it doesn't matter. Besides, $4.

Black  Alox Ambassador (money clip, quite possibly). For $5, who's gonna pass up Alox? Even if it is busted, Vic will fix it.  Being black, this also allows me to be eligible for the Alox Level 1 badge. I hope that I get sent one the guy showed with a Valmet logo.

Blue Climber. I have the Huntsman, Fieldmaster, and Super Tinker; but not a Climber. Chose the Wistar ad as they are doing a lot of coronavirus research. Photo only shows back of knife with the Swiss Cross.

Prices are great, but having problems with the seller, more than once? I'd be passing those deals. Couldn't stand the nail biting from ordering until receiving the knives...

Having said that, I hope this is one time the seller really sends you what was advertised (or an even better version thereof).

Good luck, bro!

A Fiskars X5 camp/freetime axe is on the way to my local DIY for pickup.
It's not that expensive, but somehow I kept postponing getting one
Arrived! :woohoo:

I liked my new PowerAccess so much, I bought a PowerAssist on a whim... because it was $32 and some change on eBay. I'm looking forward to playing with a larger SOG. From what I understand, it has the same pliers head as the Power Lock. So it'll be a big beefy tool that can hopefully take some abuse.

Charles.

Something tells me that in between the time I had the issues, and this time, the seller has had to have had a lot of negative feedback or something on his website.  The Climber was out of stock, and I was refunded the money right away this morning; no substitute even brought up.

The guy has both an eBay site and a website. I honestly don't get why. A lot of knives are listed at the same time in both places; and is part of the issue right there, as it results in inventory problems.

Sorry, I got confused a bit. I got a PowerPlay for $32, not a power access. It’s on the way!

I also snagged a ZBG Slide Out multi plier, which is a copy of an old Gerber tool, the Balance. It has a better tool load out, though. I’m looking forward to checking it out.

Finally I have a victorinox SD on the way with Kawasaki branding on it. That’s going in the “garage” collection. I also just recently received a leatherman Micra with Honda motorcycle branding.

Charles.

I'll be interested, maybe it is something that could displace my very long-serving LM Squirt P4 as my pocket carry EDC ?

Extremely portable?

If true, then what is the definition for a four way pocket driver?  The ultimate in pocket portable?

A Mauser Pocket Knife, courtesy of maverick88.

I had one back in the late 80's - early 90's, lost it  ::) and have been looking for a replacement for years.
Very happy  :woohoo:

First post, Charge+ TTi supposed to arrive Thursday! :multi:

Arrived, and I am very pleased.  I have wanted one of these for a while. I haven't had a multitool since my brother bought me a "mr.pinchy"  for my birthday when they first came out, and never really enjoyed using it, mostly because of them having blunt nosed pliers....  and the pinchy bit.
(Not sure if the pic will show up, been about 10 years since I have actively posted on forums..)

My blue scaled Swiss Champ should be here today. It'll be the first MT/SAK that I've added to my collection in many years.

Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener. I almost bought its bigger brother, but, the angles were not angles I used sharpening, and to get a strop, I'd have to pay extra. While smaller, and a little bit cheaper made, the Field Sharpener had the strop; the Gudied Sharpening System did not. So, $28 total, vs. $70 something total. At $70, I'm going with the Sharpmaker.
