After like a week of research of trying to figure out what brand and what size of water bottle I want I finally went ahead and ordered a new one this morning! I went with the yeti 26oz, got the hotshot mouth, a silicone grip, and also a set of silicone molds so I can pour my iced tea in and place them in the freezer, this way when they melt the flavor stays the same rather then using ice and killing the taste! Of course went all nave blue :D

Yankee Handyman 133H and a hodgepodge of assorted bits. Figure this is a good starter set for a tool that will be a user.  While for extended work, I have a proper cordless drill set (Dewalt 18V driver, drill, reciprocating saw), for most stuff, I get along just fine with hand tools.

You know, it shocks me how expensive the danged bits are for these. I was wanting a purpose-built #2 Phillips bit, and those were almost as much as the $28 I have in this set!  The cheapest I saw were $10.

Just ordered a LM Crunch (with leather pouch) from Hennie Haynes  :tu:
Not a cheap thing, considering its limited tool choices but, in my defence, it was shiny

You won't regret your purchase when you next need locking pliers (if you really need locking pliers nothing else will do). The Crunch is my favourite MT.

The limited tool choices don't bother me. I view the Crunch more as a backup to a folder or SAK that doesn't really have a serrated blade or file--and especially locking pliers.

I have the Kershaw A-100. It's a well-made tool, but you'd be nuts to try to carry it in a pocket.  It's almost 6" long and considerably heavier than a Crunch. The only reason I can carry it is that I found a sheath to the Schrade locking pliers tool for peanuts locally.  The Crunch is PST-sized and not a whole heck of a lot heavier. Heck, five-inch long dedicated locking pliers don't weigh much less. Having to assemble the pliers is becoming less and less of a big deal. Given I have as much in it as I would have a new Crunch, I may have made a mistake.

Yep, you did. The Kershaw is a little heavy, and the internal tools are somewhat short. And the whole thing isn't a proper tool steel. Mine was built from parts of three others it was sold with (all broken), and on most, the top or bottom jaw was snapped.  Schrade and Irwin made the "Toolbox" series which used actual Vise Grips as the base, and (mostly) existing internals from various Schrade USA multitools. These are tool steel, but you've got things like Schrade's crappy flat Phillips to contend with. The Crunch is more compact, has proper tools, and is much stronger set up.

Well, we’ve gotten five deliveries today, and idk if it’s done because our first one was TOTALLY screwed up! We were suppose to get 9 boxes of flooring and got only 8, we were to get 15 kitchen cabinets and we got 5! And yet one of them was wrong! On top of that other things didn’t get delivered, so as the Mrs sat on the phone talking to the delivery guy he said there was more stuff went out and he thinks they guys didn’t get everything off the truck? But the flooring, we special order so there better be 9 boxes!
So, even though we got some stuff, I can’t start anything because one thing goes over here another over there, and nothing together, so the guy said the some stuff won’t be in for another week so we’re just going to be waiting to start.. :dunno:

Oh but the one delivery dude was nice, the one box was heavy so I said to make it easy we could just put it in the garage like the rest of the stuff, so he backed up so close that my camera could just look right through his vehicle, and I marked the box that he slid off and into the garage..

I might have overdone it last night but I didn't expect to get it all at once. A few things were on sale and sometimes when you see a good deal you just have to take the leap. The last of it was a best offer that to my surprise was accepted early this morning.
So, 10-51 to my 20 (en route to my location) is a Victorinox Spirit, an Enzo Necker 70, an Esse Izula II, two Paul Chen Professional tools which are an interesting oddity because they are based on the Gerber MP-600 but they have shears instead of pliers, and some pipe smoking accessories.  That's two more contenders to try out for EDC fixed blade, and three multitools for the collection.  My wallet is $200 lighter.  It really is a sickness isn't it?

Finally picked up some Marbles' knives I'd been looking at.

Marbles Dave Canterbury Scout King. 4 1/4" closed, 3" blade. I've been wanting to try a big traditional Scout, and aside from the $50-60 Remington R4243 reproduction Camillus made, this is the only other one. $15.

USGI Utility Knife. Been curious about it for years. At $7 for just the knife, I decided it was worth a try.

Gun Tool Screwdriver. A knockoff of an old USA-made item Colt sold in the 1970s. The difference with this one is that instead of four drivers like the Craftsman, it has just three; including one that should be good with glasses (made to adjust sights on pistols and rifles). At $3 a piece, I bought two. I have a use for the long neck chains they come with as well.

I bought a few items from KC Tool Co. For going on 3 years now, I've been kicking around various Knipex and Wera items. Ended up going with some completely different brands.

Felo 64539 Ergonic K Handle Ratcheting Screwdriver. Ratchets and flexes. Sometimes, I have to put screws in tight spaces, and this saves my rear there. I haven't bought any bits yet, meaning to buy a larger set when I have the money (or when they have advent calendars on sale again--but this year, they sold out before December!). Besides, I need to organize the various ones from cheaper brands I have first. I can see this becoming my go-to driver for lots of jobs. This is my first decent one.

Picard bottle opener. Really a small hammer with a bottle opener on the end.   Sometimes, you need to tap something lightly to get it to comply with you. I rarely carry a hammer with me, unless I'm doing fence or carpentry work. You see lots of large lockbacks with horribly mangled handles due to people using them as hammers. Using the handle of a multitool can damage it badly (surprisingly, the only tools I've done it with, a cheap Workpro and an Ozark Trail showed no damage), or loosen the pommel of a fixed blade. It can ruin the pivot of a pair of pliers.  I do not misuse my tools, so a small hammer is necessary.  I figure this one, at roughly 7" OAL with a three-inch head is pocket size, but big enough for what I'm needing. It will also serve as a small pry tool, nail puller, and possibly marlinspike.

Felo 31078 60mm Round Awl on 4mm stock. One of my big "not using the right tool for the job" problems is using a multitool awl when starting a screw. They are usually too wide, and end up making a mess more often than not.  I don't own a proper scratch awl. I figured at $3 each, buy two. I can also use them for leather work.

Felo 31068 Reversible Blade Screwdriver - 5.5mm Slotted and #2 Phillips. These are cheap and handy to just stash everywhere.

Oh yeah, our new toy came in yesterday, a 65in(165cm) tv! This will be replacing the living tv which is a 56in(142cm) which will then go in our bedroom to replace a 46in(116cm) which will then go downstairs into the workout room when that gets built for the Mrs so talk about a domino effect, so each room pretty much gets a 10in(25cm) upsize from one tv! lol..

I’ve not heard of Felo before but that flex ratchet looks nice.

That little hammer looks interesting.  The needing a small hammer is why I really like the Hammer Jammer heads for the Skeletool and one of the reasons I really like the Signal.
